Didnt mean it in an offensive way and i was one of the ones who adamantly defended the Keegan appointment on the spurs board (i also praised the appointment on here too). I agree that the spurs team is a bit of a soft touch and have said that too but get over yourself ffs. Keegan seems a nice guy and not really a diciplinarian so that where i base my judgement on, now go grab a tissue and let the tears flow he is when needed (i remember him being tough with lee clarke, andy cole and barry venison) but he has a way with people that means he doesn't often need it. Don't forget when he pulled Beresford off after about twenty minutes for talking back to him. clean forgot about that till you brought it up.i still remember the look of shock on beresfords face. (cue a few jokes about pulling beresford off )
  2. part-timers...you have to be born on the pitch DURING A MATCH to be troo
  3. Yes true enough - it doesn't reflect a possible upward valuation. You'd only get that coming through in your results if you did sell the player. But the practice does reflect the actual cash cost of the player. You can't write players values up. Taylor and Zoggy's values in our books are nothing and next to nothing respectively for example. You can buy a player for £10 million and he turns out to be a crock of shyte. At the end of 1 year he's shown as being worth £7.5 million yet in reality his value to the club is nowt much. You can do an impairment write down on him if you want and write his value down quicker than the normal process. isn't there another way to work out the amortisation aswell instead of just dividing it equally between the years of the contracts duration.

  5. isn't that purely a paper exercise though. for example you buy a player for £10mill. after year 1 his value would show up as £7.5mill even though he is now european player of the year and you have rejected a bid of £100 mill. it doesn't take into account the real value.
  6. faye and n'zogbia would be my choice Unfortunately I don't think Butt is going to be left out, and Zoggy for me has looked a bit dopey at CM. Faye may also be more important for us at CB. Taylor and Cacapa just won't get it done against Rooney and Tevez. i would play faye in midfield as his height isn't really needed at the back agaist rooney and tevez but a performance like he did in midfield V chelsea could be very valuable tomorrow. it was the best defensive midfiled performance by any nufc player this season.
  7. who's been having a go at the inernational supporters ? even NM says it's "understandable" for the foreign fans.
  8. no. i went through years of watching as much euro footbasll as i could without developing any favourites. lets see if you follow this...internationally i support england (not very passionatly but i support them none the less) because i am from england. i have little doubt you support your nationality. it is the same for me on a local level. i support newcastle because i am from newcastle.i can understand others having very valid resons for supporting clubs that aren't their local ones but many just think "i'm gonna support a big team cos my local team aren't very good" that is what pisses people off. not the foreigners but the truly plastic from our own shores.
  9. no-one is saying it should be stopped or whatever. does it not sit uneasy with you when you are talking to someone born and bred in brighton,no ties to manchester at all but tells you they are a man utd fan..do you not think "palstic fucker" or "glory hunter"
  10. Pm'ed me a picture of his cock as well. Same here. and i still think you're a girl all be it an ugly one

  12. Especially the Americans. dunno...i get pissed of with the color of the center forwards jersey.
  13. the thing is CTtoon...what if your american teams were consistently crap so your son says "i'm not going to support the jets cos they are rubbish,i'm going to support the patriots cos they are the best" ?
  14. is there good AIDS ? It's a Brass Eye reference. Good AIDS = HIV, Bad AIDS = the full-blown virus. d'oh...i forgot that
  15. look pet,foreigners is one thing...but women
  16. oh he'd find something, stripes in the wrong order or somesuch
  17. never thought of you as having a yank accent....so thats it. sorry...we can't be friends anymore.
  18. take a look and you'll find it's not really anti-foreigner stuff,it's more some (like myself) get a bit peeved when those in britain shun there local league club to ride on the tail of something bigger, stopping the chance of their local club growing and perpetuating the hegemony of the man utd's of this world. i am always interested in how those from abroad arrived at newcastle though ? theres some good stories in there. and "get behind the lads on saturday" ...wont it be sunday over there ?
  19. i've alrerady said who can say if for example nufc were in div 3 and the mackems were in the prem how would the lads from rothbury etc fall. what i've been hitting at all along...if you care to look....is ,youngdters from colchester, stockport, chesterfield, wrexham, and suchlike always survived on homebase...now they cant cos of localfans who'd much rather follow man utd on sky......happy with that ?
  20. unfortunate but who's been better ? Faye, Beye, Cacapa, Taylor, N'Zogbia, Martins, Owen, Viduka off the top of my head. Milner has been shocking all season and the only decent game he's had was against Villa. righto (give you beye actaually) I've said this before but, has Zog actually had an impact on any games beyond maybe the first 4 of the season? I mean, he's had some decent runs but hasn't actually produced anything, much like Milner. you're not allowed to say that
