  1. If that's the case, it should be individuals rather than the club as an entity that's in trouble. Which is probably a good thing. i was thinking if the other clubs were say,man city and villa, however now that rangers have been named it blows up that theory. the raid is not connected with the quest inquiry so does that rule out the boumsong transfer as it was flagged up by stephens ?
  2. stamps foot, arms folded, bottom lip covering top lip
  3. a press conference to say we hope to be signing some new players or actual flesh and blood, signed on the dotted line players ?

  5. If it's what i've been told then: No, no and hopefully not. is it in connection with " find madeline" ?

bridge out for 3 months, could querdrue be a backup in reality but starting till january ?
  7. Aren't they getting Alex from PSV too? ben haim on loan
  8. You need attacking and creative wing-backs when you're using 4-5-1 anyway. Which is why Geremi would be a much better option than Solano, atleast. Geremi will work, i reckon. As much as i love Nobby, effective long balls can only be so effective. judging by players bought so far 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 is as likely as 4-5-1
  9. i think he'd be happy with getting in one top quality centre half and i personally don't think he's planning on using geremi as a full back(bet that comes back to bite me on the arse), so 2 left backs,1 right back and a centre half for me. geremi and solano cover for right back if necessary.

if rumours are true and chelsea are after drenthe,he may be available.
  11. I'd take it in the mouth... and swallow. any time limit being set ? i could easy envisage a 32yr old ronaldinho here
  12. rubbish. the top list is a list of clubs who spent their money better than the bottom list.
  13. self criticism....................it's good to see in you, healthy for the soul they reckon.
  14. yeah i get your point, just with wahts going on around us it's like we're being left behind a bit. I agree that other clubs are making big strides. But look at it this way; How many deals have taken place where you think we've missed out on a good player, moving for a reasonable price, to a team we could've realistically challenged for that player? Not too many spring to mind. I mean, Sidwell and Ben Haim were strongly linked with us, but both went to Chelsea (no brainer really). Bakari Sagna was also strongly linked, but choose Arsenal. Even beyond players we've been widely linked with, some say we should've gone for Grosso (went to Lyon, CL every year, guranteed trophies) or Metzelder (Real Madrid...). I'm not saying I'm happy with us not strengthening the defence as quickly as I'd hoped, but I just think some on here are typically knee-jerk as soon as the slightest time goes by without a signing. I personally think we've all been spoiled for excitement over the last 2 months, and we all need to relax a bit. As has been said before, many times, Rome wasn't built in a day. We many only get in, what some may consider to be, squad players like Quedrue or Young this Summer, but those two are a significant improvement on our current incumbents. This then lets us re-evaluate the team next summer or even in January... All that being said, I'm convinced that we'll have at least one player come in that the majority of fans are over the moon about... you're probably right...........................but if we don't sign good full backs and another centre half i'll fill your pm box with so much crap out of spite.

  16. Ashley might think he's got a better chance of keeping where he spends his money a bit more private if it's not reported to the Stock Exchange. When he first started out in business he kept all of his business deals secret and that only changed when he made his business a limited company. but now he hasn't just started out and as a business decision you'd think getting the business in the best shape before any industry cut off points would be beneficial rather than cutting corners and being forced to wait months to put it right.
  17. a)why if you have the cash to improve significantly, improve marginally to save cash ? b)the delisting date is a technical date,i see know reason why he would wait til then if he wants to start spending.
  18. most of the nufc forum at the moment
  19. yes,i think we've nailed that one shut :bang:
  20. what rubbish,if man utd were the only bidders and he wanted to go it would drive the price down,us bidding aswell and him wanting away drove the price up,hence no favour for man utd. are you sure it wasn't a ploy to sell season tickets ? Hence I never said it was a favor for Man Utd. I could try & explain it but there is no point if you not going to change mind. No, as I said it was all about getting Rooney a move to Man Utd I think we were closer to signing Rooney than a lot of people think. Rooney himself has even said if Man Utd hadn't went in for him, he would have came here. so,we bid for rooney in order to get him a move to man utd ? or did we try to do something for ourselves (actually quite well timed) that ended up with him going to man utd ? two completly different events
  21. Just goes to show you don't need to spend massive money. but the teams who actually won it spent massivly. You got a problem with finishing 4th or 3rd or 5th, or will you be satisfied with nothing less than the title, next season? if you finish 4th and 3rd you want to improve on it.
