Just goes to show you don't need to spend massive money. but the teams who actually won it spent massivly.
-
what rubbish,if man utd were the only bidders and he wanted to go it would drive the price down,us bidding aswell and him wanting away drove the price up,hence no favour for man utd. some folk will work out a conspiracy on anything. are you sure it wasn't a ploy to sell season tickets ?

You still haven't answered, yes or no? the answer is in the question, the team finished in the top 5 for 3 consecutive seasons for the first time in 50 seasons. I go by results, not stupidly base my opinions on something he said to a journalist in a brothel and decided I didn't like him for it. What other chairman has presided over such league positions in the past 50 years ? Yet you, stupidly, infer that the most successful league positions achieved in over 50 years is failure ? Plus 2 FA Cup Finals, which also haven't been achieved in 50 years too. If you think this is failure, please tell us who has been more successful ? HOHO. You're a joke. We know that you stupidly think that Newcastle United needed sky tv revenue to elevate beyond spending years in the old 2nd division, selling the best players, playing in front of sub 20,000 crowds, and losing on a regular basis to teams such as Southend on New Years Day, Exeter, Oxford etc etc Pathetic. Now. If Allardyce is successful, who will you credit ? And if he isn't, who will you blame ? We know why you won't reply. mackems.gif in the nicest, most polite possible way.............. WILL YOU TWO PLEASE FUCK OFF ?

Tino was just like Oba though, entertaining but not necessarily productive. martins entertaining? When was the last time we had a player who scored a goal from 25 yards which travelled at 84mph? darren ambrose at bolton wouldn't be far off
-
anyone read the article in the chronic the other night, something about going for league status in 5 years. never got to read it,have they got some backing or something ? playing at kingston park this season,i may pop down for a look.

kevin scott to spurs
-
that goes for the entire squad. Owen never wanted to join in the first place though. imo hes never been happy having to come here none of them wanted to come here, given the choice between us or man utd/arsenal/chelsea/liverpool they wouldn't be here!!!!!!! what we have to do is get into the position where they'd rather be here than those other places.
-
that goes for the entire squad.

just a bit of fun. so we have a billionaire owner yet with just on 4 weeks till the new season starts and the likes of fulham, wigan and the mackems have out spent us (net).will this be the trend or are we set for a blast of keeganesque transfers? yes i know that i have the options till the end of the window yet talk about the season starting.
-
and then sam goes and spoils it all by saying something contradictory like he told YOU. allardyce interviewed on local news, when asked about owen trotted the line about not knowing till the deadlines over, when the interviewer said that owen had stated in the press that he'd stay, allardyce reitterated he could go as the clause is there etc. apparently he was on his way to some government function on beckhams mauler's first day of trial when we desperatly need players in.............honeymoon's over sam,git a fucking move on!!
-
i was going to go for "harry, don't tackle" but then it would have been "it wasn't harry it was .........." can't win at times
-
with our new billionaire owner does anyone think we'll keep pace with the spending so far ?
-
it's a training ground goal, against a defender who,at this stage of training has probably been told"harass, don't tackle"
-
Sam's said he's going to give Viduka time off after this isn't he... If they finished the tournament on 29th july (Finals), he will get 7 days of rest which means he will come back on the first or 2nd week of August. So if they get knocked out earlier like probably 16th, he can come back before August isn't it? Then we will have him in our first game, sweet stuffs! Sure I've read somewhere that Sam isn't expecting Viduka to be ready for the beginning of the season. think sam was expecting the aussies to at least get through to the KO stages

That's what it comes down to in the end. and if a club bids on the last day? Then it'll be up to him if he leaves, I'm not sure if he will as he values his squeaky clean reputation too much but it's not the ideal situation for the club to be in. I share your concerns, mate. If a massive bid comes in, which I'd be astonished at, the club would have to consider it. Can't see it happening like. If a bid triggers the clause mickey can tell the club to go f*** themselves let's see if it happens then

and as we speak "manuel da costa" is searched on a thousand FM 2006's

i'm sure the print version quoted allardyce as saying owen gave him assurances "weeks ago" which would place it before torres and tevez, possibly at the may 23rd meet. obviously he is going to stay if the top 4 don't show any intrest, that goes for ENTIRE squad.
-
there was lots of local talk about the clause long before any paper got it,i'm not even sure the timeswere the first to print it. and as i said earlier, allardyce did come out a few weeks ago and said he was 100% sure owen would stay
-
didn't allardyce say a couple of weeks ago (before torres and tevez) that he was 100% sure owen would stop.i notice he's said no such thing about martins. Graemeh72 is mainly right tho - total bloody silence until he realised he isn't as popular with the big 4 as he thought................... Professional Footballer in "KEEPING OPTIONS OPEN" shocker! it may come as a surprise to some, but every player on our books at the minute, when signing for us,would have went to man utd, liverpool, chelsea or arsenal first given the opportunity.
-
as parky says and doesn't it seem very suspicous that nothing has really been suggested in the left back/centre half departments. we'll have to trust work is being conducted away from the press. something, hopefully,we'll have to get used to.

No its not, thats what happens when you put a release clause in a contract. Dyer and Bellamy didnt have release clauses, why are they relevant? so he's f***** the club royally then, which makes it even worse that he's given leeway by fans to organise his life according to his own self interest and I'm pretty sure Bellamy had a champions league clause He did at Blackburn, not here. As for the rest, whine to the people who negotiated the release clause. And "leeway by fans" relates to no reality except your own latest sad wind-up attempt. no leeway by fans? have you not read this thread? plenty of people perfectly happy to accept that he waits until pre-season to decide to honour his 4 year contract The release clause in his contract has nothing to do with fans. And if it gets triggered how can it be Owen dishonouring his contract? It's part of his contract, moron. fine, well tell these fuckers to stop patting him on the back for speaking at last, as it means f*** all. as you say he could leave on the last f****** day. but what a good bloke anyway eh oh now i get it,slag him off for commtting to NUFC or slag him off if he says nowt. either way, slag him off!
