  1. Dont know much about the player but hope he is intended as a wing back as decent wing backs could see Miggy and ASM playing closer together and closer to Joelintin.
  2. It's quite possible some Everton fans went home early to avoid the crowds, loads do at every match, went straight to bed because of work the next morning, got up and work at somewhere where their colleagues have little interest in football and are thus still oblivious to what happened.
  3. Another 20 seconds and I reckon we'd have nicked all 3 points.
  4. tbf to Bruce hes just trying to carry on with what worked for Rafa with possibly a harder squad to work with (ie Joelinton instead of Rondon)

I would go to see these from work before Sunderland.
  6. I disagree with that, think he's been our best CM. That means f*** all, they have all been s*** apart from the odd game from Shelvey. He has been s*** mind, but the worst thing is, as has been pointed out before, is that this midfield from the Championship is still first choice three year later tbf just because it was a championship midfield doesnt means they aren't good enough for the premier as a rule.
  7. The last few games players have been hobbling round well before the end. Reminiscent of the dinosaur Souness.

Oh well done, they beat Doncater, they should be so proud and in the top half aswell, amazing.

I've a terribly bad cough at the moment... cough "dodgy agent deal", splutter, cough ," laundering" cough splutter cough.
  10. We didn't play it against Palace. If you're going to do this at least get the numbers right. and that 5-2-3 was sometimes more 5-4-1.

Me too. I'm as indifferent to their plight as I am with football in general. I do. I find it absolutely hilarious. Dont even feel sorry for my mates who are Mackems, it's only football and on the whole they find it as funny as I do in a gallows type way. And especially funny for those particular type Mackems who believe the most bizarre of things Donald wasnt a chancer, their crowds affected by the North sea, etc etc etc.
  12. I know Palace allowed us to funnel the ball to Dummett but imagine Willems or Ritchie with the opportunities we had out left on Saturday.
  13. The only negatives I heard about ASM were his decision making on the pitch and held on to the ball too long, nowt about being trouble.

That's IF the yank who gave them the finance see it as a football club as opposed to development land.
  15. Does that mean we lose our record? We've lost our record so much that the sky sports bloke has said that Atalanta are the only team in Champs league history to have done it.
  16. Sheffield lacked creativity and a spark because they have championship players without the quality to provide it. Other than that, I thought their movement was excellent. All you can do as a manager is coach them in the basics of how you want to play, you can't turn a donkey into a racehorse. As for our away performance being a good one, you must have been watching a different game. We were absolutely cack for the first 45 mins, and could barely string two passes together. Our gameplan as it was, was executed terribly. We were relying on their poor finishing to stay in the match. We were poor going forward, but the team worked their arse off. First half, we got a little lucky, but second half we were comfortable. We had a few chances and we took them. It's a good win. We worked our arse off defensively, no denying that, but I would put that down to Rafa's work in the past few years. Even Bruce is more or less saying as much. Bringing the ball out, we are actually now even worse, and we weren't great at this under Rafa either, I'm not trying to sugar coat his record here. But we pressed much more effectively as a team, now we are just sitting back and hoofing it clear. I think the shape and defensive work was all drilled into the squad by Rafa. Bruce realises it's the way to go. And that's fair enough. I worry about the attack - we're not smooth, doesn't seem to be a plan. But the team spirit looks good. No sign of any trouble = team works very hard and we're always in most games. There were signs V Bournemouth of wanting to press on a bit and not play so deep. Hopefully Sunday will see similar and a bit less rigidity of position from the front 3.

Theres a pattern, they get a huge one up one us and it leads to us getting the laughs. They beat us 1-9......we end the season as Champions. They beat us in the play offs.....we'd probably never have ended up with KK as manager. They "relegate" us.....ultimately ends up with them treading water in division 3.
  18. Christ Insulting to Jetro that. Anita or Christ ?
  19. Deserved more than a 6 imo, never gave the ball away all game and they couldn't seem to get near him.
  20. Officials seemed slightly there wau but nothing serious, they could have had another booking or two. L8vescore jadbusbatv19% but it seemed like more and we just about deserved it on chances.

Think you can only judge an academy by the quality of players who have come through and it falls down massively over the last 30 year - edit ours that is I should say Sunderland's has been canny. Pickford, Henderson....who else ? Even regular top division starters I reckon we'd better them.......and I know our set up is/has been crap.
  22. bruce needs to play him on the left ffs, i can't believe people aren't more annoyed it about it tbh it's so fucking obvious I've posted it several times. If not mainly on the left at least closer to ASM and Joelinton so they could switch. It's what I wanted with HBA and Marveaux, 2 very skillful playing off the forward, movement enough to go wide, narrow and switch, bugger to mark.
