Second this ( but not the expecting to win and by how many bit, I was always too cautious which made the relief better when it played out over the 90mins).

Or the players for that matter , or Stavely etc ... or the half time pint pullers.

Should probably lock the "New Member" functionality of the forum until a few months after the takeover is completed. Once the hype (positive & negative) cools down a little bit then open it back up. That would make it a large clique.

You will/are just in other ways.

Where can I find that HTT post again? Didn't finish reading it. Think it's storaged on a massive server field in russia. Probably not available online since it slows the internet down. and its unfinished, he keeps it going perpetually and is currently taking up 8% of the worlds electrical output keeping it cool.

Totally, I can see why they would want in, not why the 80% stakeholders would want them in. I’m genuinely more happy that they’re involved tbh. East Pilgrim Street is in need of being totally revamped - and I fucking hate Stack. Not got a problem with that but that doesn't explain why the majority owner (getting ahead of myself) would let them in. Was there not discussions between Staveley and the Reubens first? Perhaps they then brought in PIF who wanted more control/say/willing to put more money in? Hmm. It’s fun for a bit, I can’t get my head around people who queue to get in mind, when there’s literally hundreds of other drinking holes! Yeah but the money calls the shots and I just wondered why the money would keep the Ruebens in there.......and I wouldn't queue up for Stack as much as I like it, particularly in winter. The Reubens "EPS" plans have barely started yet, Stack is a temporary infil, but there is at least ten years of re-development work to happen in the EPS area of the City Centre. I reckon that will just be "for starters", with the Reubens and Saudis getting actively involved in the City Centre and around the rest of Newcastle. Definitely needs some doing to it and I know Stack is temp, just hope its not just office blocks, student accom done in bland fashions. Edit....to expand on this and maybe it should be in general chat but city centres must change. They had to change due to the change in retail and with Civid 19 thats been accelerated. City centres will have to become more experience and residential based than retail like they've been over here for over 100yrs.

Totally, I can see why they would want in, not why the 80% stakeholders would want them in. Could save them having to negotiate for land rights and stuff and also gives the club an in-built expertise and organisation to handle infrastructure stuff. Thank you. That just about makes sense.

Oh and I quite like Stack.

Which means making money....why would the Saudis want to let someone else in on that ?

Stuff like this is probably pretty convincing from their POV. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/11/27/manchester-city-owners-agree-sell-389m-stake-holding-company/ From their POV but not from the people putting up most of the cash. Why would they want/let the Rueben bros in on it?

When I was younger I watched lots of Scandinavian and German videos and never picked up a word .

Wasn't there a piece about him being so driven that he knew speaking English would be best to further his career in football as its Europe's major language.

 I've got a quadcore CPU and 16gb of RAM and that site makes the fans go into turbo. Just get an adblocker. Not only does it make the website readable, but it deprives them off revenue too. I would add that I'm in favour of NOT depriving worthwhile sites of ad revenue, but the chronicle deserve nothing for the way they've reported on Newcastle and Ashley over the last 13 years and I'd not lose a moment's sleep if they folded. It's a shame because going to town on Ashley would surely be such an open goal for them if they wanted to take the shot, yet they've spent over a decade impersonating Ronnie Rosenthal. Fuck them. I don't like adblockers, websites need revenue. And that revenue comes from where ? Which leads to who paying for it ? Plus its a fucking irritant.

Dont know anyone under 70 that buys it. Seriously. I'd not be glad to see it go, we need a good local paper......and its not. But it could be.

Doesnt seem to be a plan. Ah the British way.

The media hate us so it could force their hand in criticising the Saudi regime. They wouldn't hate us if we followed Man City or Chelseas path.

Assuming this is all legit, what's the Rueben Bros role ? Staveley leading the deal, wanting to front the organisation after purchase etc her share makes it almost performance related. Why the need for the Rueben's ?

Loved the Ten Cate shout whoever done that. The way Ajax played last season was a joy to watch (Like Bayern Munich this year but I doubt we'd be able to tempt their staff) . Are there any others like that out there. My euro knowledge of football has gone to shit over the last 5 years or so.

Which manager hasn't made bad signings? Sir Alex Ferguson signed loads of dross I've always thought Keegan's transfer record to be outstanding, at least at Newcastle. Who were his worst signings? Mathie? Hottiger? Hooper? Mathie and Hottiger were fine. Jason Drysdale maybe. His first spell doesn’t really have any massive flops as such. Mark Robinson joined and then was injured so much he had to retire so maybe him. KK’s transfer dealings for NUFC were outstanding. Would still love to know his NET spend as I think many people will be surprised to find out he didn’t spend that much in the end. That summer went he got Barton, Hislop, Ginola and Sir Les. That was so exciting. Not for the Mrs. We were on Gran Canaria and I spent 2 weeks writing formations on beer mats etc and seeking out other NUFC fans.......and others, like when we signed Shearer (Kardemena) everyone with interest in football wanted to talk to toon fans.

For my mates who are Mackems I'd like them to be maybe a yo yo between Prem and Championship. I'd even like one season them to have a run in Europe. For the RTGers, and I know many who are like that face to face, I want them to drop down another division, struggle and for Carlisle to be favourites in their Derbies.

Your kids ? A trophy gathering dust in a cabinet somewhere would still amount to more in life than any offspring that takes half its DNA from me, so I’m in, at least. Missed this reply at the time.

Good point that. Moral is all relative therefore one can never say that something is evil or good. Every action, deed, process, activity can be seen as good or evil, it's all in the eye of the beholder. Therefore by your impeccable logic, we cannot ever criticize anyone or anything, lest we fall in to the morally superior stone-throwing position, which you have decried. I was suggesting there was a degree of hypocrisy in taking a morally superior position without looking carefully at a lot of things. I was not suggesting there is no such thing as right or wrong. As Kevin Spacey's K-Pax character said, "The whole Universe knows right from wrong". Shame Kevin Spacey didn't Well played indeed Sir.
