  1. it's not just newcastle and it's not just football fans, it's the way people are. spoilt for the most part, over indulged and utter twats because of it.
  2. not really. bloke makes shit opening post and it gets dum ped on many times.
  3. basic midfield play. when play gets deep down one side the opposite sided midfileder ought to be coming into that position.
  4. took bilbao on a single with a real madrid/anderlecht double.
  5. so he's never ever smoked.
  6. it seems like most of the footballers who smoke are the technique type ofm player rather than the speedy run all day type. seems like a few no.10 types.
  7. The only reason? Like things were going swimmingly under Shepherd, either financially or on the field? Why do you think the Halls were so keen to bail out? That's got nothing to do with it. The reason we are in the Championship comes back to every decision that Ashley made from post-Allardyce onwards. the reason we are in the championship is because we have been poorly run since 2004.
  8. Yeah but the trouble with that argument is that Ashley, although sorting out the clubs finances, cost us millions and set us back several years by getting us relegated with ridiculous mistakes. It's always going to come back to that. Plus he had the chance to sell us to "them rich Arab blokes down the road" and didn't. He's a greedy c***. sureli it has to always go back to even beyond that, unless you're saying the club was doing fine before he took over. as for the arabs i take it you know how much was offered or should he just sell for any price because you don't like him. true he's made some crap decisions but being labelled greedy in relation to his dealings with us is laughable.
  9. and not at all down to the players ? why not widen the post to say, the 3 home games before that ? Because statistics can say what you want them to say, if you pick the right parameters. Which brings me to this - on the back of our season thus far and purely based on points, Hughton is the best game-for-game manager in the league. Just thought I'd point that out. and nolan,on goals scored is our best player ? No, he is our most prolific scorer. Pick the right parameters and et voila! (I'm playing devil's advocate by the way - this Hughton bashing makes me cringe) damn...so was I.
  10. that means theres an argument for getting in good central midfielders as soon as poss.

  12. and not at all down to the players ? why not widen the post to say, the 3 home games before that ? Why not widen it over the season for accuracy sake? Which players are you referring to? all the central midfielders.
  13. why should there be a first choice pair ? why not whats best suited to the opposition

  17. very much doubt that would happen. anyhoo....wasn't this supposed to have been sorted on friday ?
  18. i've seen plenty at reserve level who looked great but couldn't cut it higher up. for me the problem with ranger is he doesn't look confident.
  19. horses for courses. if teams come with the likes of parkin then williamson, taylor. if they are a bit more technical than coloccini and taylor. very handy to have this three at this level but next season (hopefully) we'll probably find out if colo was slow settling in and wether it was down to cash that pompey didn't play wiliamson.
  20. didn't play particularly well, though very good in little spells, could have been 7 or 8. it's like early season all over again.
