all depends, if the person brings the player down deliberately then yes, but if their is a genuine attempt to go for the ball then it shouldn't be thats as it is supposed to be already (providing the attcaker has the ball.......you'll be amazed how mant twats scream "last man...off off off" when the forward hasn't even got the ball).

Great shout. Top 2 in the league and both cup winners. Rebrand it the 'European Champions Cup' if necessary. Spots pass onto beaten finalists, unless they're also 1st or 2nd in the league, in which case, 3rd (then 4th) pick up the spot. Previous competition winners (ala Liverpool 2005/06) automatically take one of the league spots if failing to qualify automatically through league or cup in the previous season. UEFA Cup spots to 3rd, 4th and 5th (if not already QF as cup winners). Would shake things up massively and ensure that the top clubs have to put out genuinely strong sides in both cups and sides (say, for example, Liverpool) who have no hope of finishing in the top 2 would focus more on the cups as an 'easier' route into Europe's Premiere tournament. 2009/10 Qualifiers: Man Utd (Champions), Liverpool (2nd), Chelsea (FA Cup), Tottenham (League Cup - beaten finalists) 2008/09 Qualifiers: Man Utd (Champions), Chelsea (2nd), Portsmouth (FA Cup - beaten finalists), Tottenham (League Cup) 2007/08 Qualifiers: Man Utd (Champions), Chelsea (2nd), Liverpool (3rd*), Arsenal (League Cup - beaten finalists) 2006/07 Qualifiers: Chelsea (Champions), Man Utd (2nd), Liverpool (FA Cup), Wigan (League Cup - beaten finalists) 2005/06 Qualifiers: Chelsea (Champions), Arsenal (2nd), Man Utd (FA Cup - beaten finalists), Liverpool (League Cup - beaten finalists) 2004/05 Qualifiers: Arsenal (Champions), Chelsea (2nd), Man Utd (FA Cup), Middlesbrough (League Cup) *FA Cup finalists both QF via league position Not a massive change from the last 6 seasons but at least a little bit more exciting for the likes of 'burra, Wigan, Millwall, West Ham Utd, Cardiff(!) and Spurs. so a team that performs well all season should be put aside for winners of a cup competition many teams don't even put full strength teams out for....................and thats just in this country. Yeah, I must admit it would be a tad unfair for the finalists to get the spot, the next best placed league position would be more appropriate. It should definately be the cup winners though plus one. so the cup winners who maybe get relegated are more worthy than a team who finish 3rd or 4th ?

why bother having a league which is surely the only way to find out which teams are the best....cups don't do that, never have and never will as it's down to a handful of one off games and the luck of the draw.

gascoigne could use the cash but you'd never leave shearers bar. better off in the pub getting the atmosphere than the tour if it's a choice.
-
I think giving penalties for infringements outside the box is a ridiculous and stupid idea. cheers, even more certain it's the right thing now.

club shops in the centre of town, 10mins walk from SJP. Just look for the big monument and you cant miss it. that could be peasepud.
-
i agree on how good he is (even though hs seems to be not not so good the least month or so) but are you ok with the way he left ? the leaking to the press that he wants to leave but not asking for a move, trying to drag more money out of a club that has paid him well ?
-
that means he could still be SHITE.

http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/245/81095796.png They're all on the same road, literally a few doors apart each. I know some on here opt for the Trent House, which you'll see just to the left of the Traffic box. really ought to add rosies and the newcastle arms in there if you want to be that close to the ground and deffo the strawberry.
-
or stop in the city centre as its cheap enough and walking distance to everywhere...jeez man he's after advice and you're arguing about shitty suburbs. YBG........when do you get here ? friday night is good, pre match will get the buzz, saturday post match you'll enjoy, sunday afternoon after the night before is always good. enjoy! it's a very compact city centre so its all quite close.
-
Read everyone's advice, take it all in, google it. THEN drop me a PM let me know: How long your in Newcastle, what you want out of a trip to Newcastle & I will let you know where & what you should do.
-
yup....looking at from elsewhere.
-
true but i like village idiots idea of giving the ref the authority to give a pen even if outside the box.
-
have you noticed a home/away distinction ?
-
have to say he's not as smooth to watch as a ronaldo or messi but wayne rooney has to be close on the most effective forward in world football right now.
-
Absolute shambles tonight, hopefully tomorrows won't be as bad. Have the same bet for tomorrow as you. Had Forest and Leeds for tonight but that didn't really work out as expected.. almost the same. not sure about notts co so i've gone for rangers instead.

Rebuilding a new version at the same site without the running track as we speak. Only going to hold 41,000 though instead of being unnecessarily big, although as discussed that will be far too big also. Aye but why knock down a bigger and better stadium? Surely it wasnt in ruin. seems a waste of money to me like. f*** knows. I know one liked the Delle Alpi originally as it was w*** but as no-one seems to turn up at the ground they currently use it seems a bit of a waste of time. smaller, more intimate ground which may free us some land to sell/develop.

and if it were a uefa wide cap ? how many italian and spanish clubs do you think are paying on avarage more than the middle of the prem ?
-
And? Do you suggest he slates them? Or just stay quiet when asked a question? Honestly, anything other than praise will get picked up by the press. its why i cant understand why people analyse managers interviews etc so much.

given at fault apparently.........................shame
