  1. How do you know all that? He doesn't because it is nonsense, we were f***ing crap tonight and weren't interested, they were up for it and were by far the better side. I've never seen so many of our players bottle tackles as I did tonight. Savage gave half our team a good kick in the first 10 minutes and after that we were s*** scared of them ffs. slag savage off all you want he's been the best player on the park nearly every time i've seen him. and for the second time i'd take him over ALL of our central midfielders.
  2. he played in that 9-1 defeat....so ? bassong played in a metz team that got relegated as did woodgate with leeds. when here he often made mistakes that cost the game (i'll call it steve howey syndrome, in that he never seemed to get away with mistakes when others got away with worse) and where was titus when we finished third and played in milan ?
  3. wigans player of the year in their best ever season and current captain ?
  4. And it could hardly be a tougher game, Swansea have only lost 2 games at home this season. to notts forest when they had their big away run going and ............boro!
  5. bet he starts on saturday...in front of smith and nolan. Moncur reckons Guthrie had his best match for us this evening. moncur reckons i'm going to do that kielder marathon.
  6. as in betting against them winning. not shagging them all..............................that would take at least a weekend even for Ms Perroncel.
  7. how many teams have we played this season who could say the same thing ? we done the exact same thing to swansea. we've been getting points whilst not playing well, don't hide folks, walk out into the sun and admit it.
  8. laying liverpool/everton/wolves/villa for tonight.
  9. Excellent point RE the NFL, there are so many things the NFL do better sounds good if we werent trerated to stories almost every week about rapes, shootings, drugs etc from the nfl roster. after that it's the usual thing about the best going to the better teams (where you have the draft system) and the rest having to hope they pick up one that sklips through the net....that works in the nfl aswell. out of curiosity what happens if someone is drafted but doesnt want to go to that team ?
  10. dave.......he didn't miss any games cos of his dad dying. HA!

hey those photos are spooky, i actually thought the top one was newcastle at first. seems like my uncle kel was right.
  12. 'Cos it's knee-jerk. Draw away and your nearest oppostion win. Soon enough you'll lose ground. We'll end up in the play offs if we can't win enough on the road. and some have been saying it's been coming for a while. Are they the same ones who have been complaining about our defensive line ups away from home? and we'd have romped home tonight with smith and nolan ? We didn't need to romp home, a draw would have done nicely. you been watching the games recently ? we should have got beat off ten man leicester, were second best at sheff weds, derby at home was one of those games...like derby away!,palace could easy have taken a point.....performances! you can get points playing poorly for a bit.....but it will never last. we seem to have been sussed.

do you follow the pittsburgh teams? if so...why? 2 reasons.... 1. lying in the bath one night as a kid (about 11) trying to find radio luxembourg on the radio (and that is not a euphemism) i found the AFRTS (armed forces radio and television service....for the US) and the game was green bay(i think)-pittsburgh , last 5 mins and pittsburgh trailing. i alway like an underdog, even though at that time without me knowing they wouldn't have been, but they came back from behing with 2 scores to win. 2. a few years later and american football is just about to start on channel 4, my uncle comes over from canada and everyone talking about canada and the states, he syas that for all pittsburgh is the steel city, like sheffield, the people are the closest north america has to geordies.

again i'll go with pittsburgh...this time the pirates after picking up this little snippet...they are the only team in major league history to score 10runs in the opening innings and still lose the game. what a "typical, typical newcastle" thing to do.

  17. the performances mate, if you think we'll win many more the way we've been playing you have more faith than i......when was the last away win by the way ?
  18. we aren't top Ah yeah, just seen the table. Well we're second thanks to a couple of goals, which is what matters - but that game in hand is absolutely crucial. Forest losing is a huge relief cos we stand to be seven points clear of third. with west brom in the cup at the weekend that game in hand is effectivly swansea.
  19. Ill leave it here cos we're going down the same roads. One clean sheet when he returned, we then conceded in the next game as usual. When he was out we conceded one and kept a clean sheet with Taylor next to Khish. Doesnt prove much. We've looked good since Williamson came in for me and theyve been doing well next to eachother. No reason to believe Taylor wouldnt have done just as well, it doesnt prove he's our best defender in anyway atall. after watching a few games and leaving stats out of it i feel we've been much better with taylor and colo in the middle than any other partnership.
  20. it would be so newcastle for us to miss out on going up after losing the 6 points off cardiff due to them going under whilst sunderland stop up due to only losing 2 points on pompeys going under.
  21. It's not that uncommon with smaller clubs. Last year Gretna (Scottish Premier League) went out of existence forever. Just not something you usually see with teams at this level. chester could go that way...their players refused to travel to a game today aftyer not being paid for 3 months, haarlem in holland and mouscron in belgium already gone.
