Sheffield is a victim of the small club syndrome. If it were Liverpool kicking up a big fuss they would've almost certainly gotten their way, like they did for the CL. I believe West Ham deserve a point deduction as well, shame that the League clearly wants the bigger clubs to stay.

He's a very good player. Blows hot and cold, injured half the time. Most crucially he requires a high chances to goal ratio. The type of striker who'll always miss more than he scores.

We have no creativity. The best we can do is to whip the ball in from wide positions and even then we're crap at it. Worse still we have little men to aim at.

The argument is not so much about playing players out of position in actual games but training them to play in several positions as part of their footballing education. I think many here are quite spectacularly missing the point.

Definitely worth a try. It's definitely made me a better player. I have played across many positions myself and it has helped to hone my defensive and attacking skills. It trained me to be an all rounded player and I can play in all outfield positions. The important thing however is to know the tactical requirements of different roles otherwise you'll just be 'lost' in the position. Cant see why it cant be applied with professional footballers.

Were you watching the same games? We more than deserved the point against Man Utd, Pool were shite in the rain, and Arsenal... was as poor as any Newcastle side i've seen all season last monday... Now can you explain why you think we should've lost those games? Not to mention today when Harper didnt make a single save while we could have sneaked it had Dyer/Martins/Carroll been more clinical.

While Butt has been consistent this season, he does not show for the ball at times when we have possession, instead he'll be walking along and not get involved. It does my head in and it does limit our passing options in midfield. Having said that, I'm not sure if Parker would have done better with his little pirouettes.

Most games involving Real, Barca, Arsenal, Man Utd, Juve, etc are quite spectacular, especially the first 3 teams.
