  1. Pretty much every game he played at the back end of last season?
  2. He's big, He's white, He's got hair like a dyke, Timmy Krul, Timmy Krul!
  3. Soderberg is 19 Alnwick is 16 Soderberg has looked good at times, but at other times looked a bit suspect, but he's young and has some great people to learn from. Fuck off He wasn't old enough to drink the last I saw.
  4. Keep. Anyone who has a go at Hughton is a top lad in my book.
  5. I wouldn't read too much into it. The first few games of the season always throw up a few bizarre results but I fancy us to be in that group of a dozen teams battling for promotion.
  6. It's the Daily Mail so clearly it's bollocks.
  7. Aye, and twice the ball was nearly in the back of the net! In fact, one time it was! The first cross and the final cross he faced he had difficulty against. The other half dozen he was fine with.
  8. Can we change the title of this thread to "Coloccini needs to sit out the rest of his life"
  9. Given never had the aerial presence Krul has. Shay's strength was his shot stopping rather than his height. These are all good points. In fact, when they get used to Krul's abilities, the defence could push up a bit more and that would solve a lot of things that are wrong at the moment at this club. You reckon he will be able to afford a buyer for us if the defence push up? TBH I reckon that's been the main stumbling block to a sale.

  11. He flapped at one or two, the rest he collected. No debate about that. The defence is pish in the air, we struggle to deal with aerial balls. It became abundantly clear in pre-season this was a major weakness. I've no doubt Krul's decision to come for almost every ball stems from the fact he's more confident in his ability than that of our defenders to clear it.
  12. Are you on the wind up tonight? He was far from awful, he gathered the majority. He flapped at one or two but that's to be expected when your defence is so piss poor you're forced to come for every single ball. If he had more faith in our ability to deal to lofted balls he'd probably have stayed back on the more suspect ones.
  13. He's f***ing not. The amount of times he gets out of position or gives the ball away is ridiculous for anyone who wants to call themselves a top class centre back. don't fall too much for the comentators shite of "coloccini didn't know where his man was" as today they claimed it at least three times when he pushed his man out wide and left them with nowt. he wasn't found wanting too much on the deck today but i still worry about the aerial assault he'll face in this division. I wasn't falling for what TCL said, more what my eyes told me. He's simply not comfortable with the pace or physicality of the English game and needs to be shipped out as soon as.
  14. He's fucking not. The amount of times he gets out of position or gives the ball away is ridiculous for anyone who wants to call themselves a top class centre back. He's good enough for us, in the Championship. You sure? He was far from steady today.

  17. I can assure Matterface fans there will be more of him as the season progresses.
  18. Dave answered.... Sam Matterface says... http://i30.tinypic.com/30sir84.gif Newcastle wont go down! Dave is correct!
  19. I can remember watching him against Cov last year in the cup and looking like he'd found his level. His legs have gone but he could do a job in the CCC.
  20. I agree with what Teasy is saying, but i'm going to go off the other end and make a wild assumption too. I looked at the game tonight and thought "Wow, that's exactly how we've played for the last season! Unattractive, scrappy football!" There was nothing there to suggest to me that we're dead certs to go down and anyone who says otherwise is either trying out for the RSC or just being a daft cunt. Neither Boro nor Sheff United were anything special, both very suspect upfront and relied on the cloggers throughout their side to get the ball and create the few chances they had. Players like Barton and Guthrie will thrive in that type of game, it's the Ameobi's and Ryan Taylor's we've got to worry about. Obviously, that's not to say we couldn't go down. If Hughton stays and the handful of half decent players we still have leave we're deep in the shite. At the minute though it's too early to be forecasting relegation.
  21. To me it sounds like all the interest from major parties has disappeared and he's trying to get them back in.
  22. I know someone who did... http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00039/ashley1_280x420_39086a.jpg
