  1. We're preparing to prepare to prepare to think about making a bid. Possibly.
  2. He said it was par. Why is he so thrilled with a season which is par then? Clearly a WUM We've beaten Chelsea at home, Spurs away and Man United away. I'd say most are pretty thrilled with those results. Oh, and we're 8th and still within a couple of wins of the top 4. Hardly an absolutely fucking awful season.
  3. Too thick to ever be a top Premier League centre back.
  4. No it's not, and what have we won? 10 league games out of 20 this season? At the end of the day it's a results game. We're not the Newcastle of old but nor do we play an awful brand of football. I've seen much worse at NUFC. Well that's ok then. Carry on regardless because I saw Souness' sides and Allardyce's sides and Bill McGarry's sides and they played worse than Lord Pardew's. Utter turd. Lord Pardew man I've given the bloke pelters when he's deserved it, the arse end of last season for example, however I cannot reconcile the way we have performed for the majority of this season with the hatred some have for the bloke. We're six points of the Champions League places for f***'s sake. I know he's not a likeable person, I know he talks s**** but claiming you'd rather have Billy f***ing Davies than him is just laughable. The fact of the matter is that this season he has got us playing a brand of football that while not Keeganesque is effective. We retain and recycle possession well, we work hard, we create a decent number of chances and if we do take a chance we try to make sure we don't leak one at the other end and rely on our pace to play on the break. I'd like to see us knock in three or four every week but if that's not possible for whatever reason picking up the three points is a not a bad substitute for seeing a game with just the one or two goals. You can see that every week in a public park for free. Why bother with Graham Carr providing quality assets and Pardew organising them to play as he does. If we played with pace on the break Ameobi would not be seen on the pitch. Truth is even he could run from one end of the pitch to the other by the time the ball comes down out of the sky with Pardew's pish tactics. We're second bottom of the long ball league mate.
  5. The press said Marveaux stormed out in similar circumstances when his daughter had actually taken ill. I wouldn't treat what the say as gospel.

  8. Surely winning is playing football in "the right manner"?
  9. Steve Bruce, Harry Redknapp, Steve Clarke and even Billy Davies are better and play a more attractive brand too. There's probably others but I can't be arsed. Well that must go down as the daftest fucking post in the entire thread.
  10. Providing Cabaye's fit I expect us to go with the five usual suspects in midfield with Remy up front on his tod.
  11. It's been obvious since he signed that Pardew has a particular way of dealing with HBA. From what I've been told he gets more of an arm around the shoulder than a lot of players but he's obviously also set higher standards. I don't see that as being particularly unreasonable. On form he's our best player but he can be quite erratic. I think Pardew sees him as a player with a huge amount of confidence in his own ability who responds well to being put under pressure to perform. His exile to the bench has only really came about because of the run of form we were on. I don't have a problem with Pardew wanting to stick with the players that have helped us win so many games and not tinker with the side after a disappointing result or two. He's thrown the baby out with the bath water before and it's been to the detriment of the team. I expect to see HBA back in the starting XI after Man City. I think Remy, Sissoko and Gouffran are starting to look a bit tired so he'll figure more along with Cisse.
  12. The run from Spurs at home to Man United at home will define the rest of our season. That's eight games where we could/should be picking up a hefty haul of points.
  13. If they felt the need to tell the fan's forum we've got no fucking ambition in that area so not to expect anything I wouldn't be surprised if Pardew has been told the same, albeit in stronger terms.
  14. Can you defend his record in the FA Cup? That's what I'm pissed off about right now, nothing to do with the league. No, that's a major black mark against his name however I don't know how much those above him are influencing things. I'm sure he wants trophies if only for Brand Pardew because managers aren't judged on eighth place finishes, they're judged on trophies won. I doubt Mike Ashley was phoning down to the bench telling him to send on Obertan. Probably not, however I'm sure he'll have been reminded by his paymasters that the cup is not a priority.

  16. And that's the problem, because all he does is pick the team and leaves it at that. No inspiring subs to try and win the game,no firing them up at half time. If his initial starting 11 don't perform,he does not have the abiltity to turn it around. (Unless we get luck on our side) That's a personnel issue, surely? Unless you're suggesting he invest in a smoke machine and a glitter gun to add a bit of pzazz when we bring on Obertan?
  17. I don't understand the militant element of the anti-Pardew support that will willfully distort an event just to avoid giving the man any credit. This season he's done little wrong yet I've seen posters on here slag him off for being overly defensive at White Hart Lane, suggest that winning at Old Trafford ain't no ting, complain about the 5-1 against Stoke and more. He's not a particularly likeable bloke, he's an Ashley shill, he's a gobshite and I get that but this attitude of laying the blame for anything at Pardew's door while giving him pelters for every little thing is pathetic and makes it hard to take anything said about him seriously. Perspective lads. Get some.
  18. Six points off the Champions League places at this stage of the season is pretty bloody good tbf.
  19. Don't know what the fuck he's done wrong today mind. He's played a stronger team than we pretty much all expected and we sounded relatively comfortable until we went 1-0 and fell asleep.
  20. Me too mate. I know exactly how you feel and I can honestly say I've never been closer to chucking it all in. Not just today. Last minute winner against WBA, outclassed at Spurs and fluked a 1-0 win, no idea against Stoke and 1-0 down until they lost the plot, we did what everybody else has dine this season and beat that shower from Old Trafford and then we have to listen to Pardew telling us he knew all along it was just the Europa League and injuries that held us back last season. Utter nonsense. Cabaye and Krul injured today, aye, it's the FA Cup, Premier League match they'd be out there. Shola starting again this season. Just f*** o** Pardew. Piss off man you joker. We beat Spurs, Chelsea and Man United and you're not happy?
