Chrissy Hughton, as understated as ever. "We have no interest in Hatem Ben Arfa" "Chris, he's just turned up at the fucking airport" -
Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa joins AS Roma then Lyon

Likewise. If the KD Lang looking prick never played again it would be too soon. -
Taylor should be a better defender, but he's too thick. Williamson is immeasurably preferable at centre back.

I think it was clear last season his time was up. He was never a world beater, but looked a completely different player to the ever reliable workhorse he's been for us previously. And as much as I loved him as a personality his performance against the Mackems last year was disgusting. -
really? had no idea, any notion who the players were? was reading this morning that rooney can also buy himself out come the summer Matuzalem was the first. There have been a few since which have all been settled on the same basis.

The Webster ruling is really no longer relevant. The last half a dozen cases that have went to CAS they've decided compensation on two factors - the market value of the player and the cost of a replacement. We turned down a £10-12m bid last summer, a strong indicator of market value, and he's off to the World Cup too. He's worth much more than the £6m he could allegedly buy his contract up. Is Cabaye so desperate to leave Newcastle that he's willing to take a huge financial and professional risk to rip up his contract not knowing that he's probably going to have to pay near double the £6m his contract is worth? I doubt it. It's not as if a buying club would legitimately be able to reimburse him either due to the "gentleman's agreement" between European clubs to stop this sort of thing becoming commonplace. It's in everyone's best interests to try and do a deal via the usual channels but especially Cabaye's. we got taken to court over Jonas! Aye, and it fucking cost us about £10m I'd be surprised if their wasn't some sort of gentleman's agreement between ourselves and Cabaye that he can go after the World Cup. Thought it was 6m for Jonas. Whatever it was it was too fucking much

They were after Scocco in the summer, weren't they? It suggests that Di Fanti is still picking the players.

Just seen a Mackem pleading for tickets on Facebook to the cup semifinal tie. It only requires two, yes two, fucking loyalty points. Pathetic.

If Rooney and RVP aren't fit for the return leg then yes. Man United really are our only hope when their final opponents will be an absolutely shocking West Ham side or a Manchester City side who always struggle against them.

They're going to win the fucking thing aren't they?

They're watching us In this instance I believe the clubs over the bizzies. Fuck it, in every instance I'd believe the clubs over the bizzies

Keep. Probably. If I didn't go to the football I'd just end up sitting at home wishing I was at the football. Plus it's a good excuse to gan on the hoy.

You can guarantee they'll be absolute cunts come match day. Expect Sunderland supporters to be held back for absolutely fucking ages too.

Nowt. That's essentially how the club has operated since we were promoted. If they're available and they meet our valuation then we'll sign them.

What about Brett Emerton? have we made a bid? Steve Sidwell's picking him up on his way from London. http://www.nufcblog.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/alan-oliver.jpg

You'll be happy seeing it against Cardiff in the league then? Remy and Williamson aside it was probably the strongest XI we could field, however Cisse and Saylor are players who should be able to cope when called upon.
