  1. Bollocks was he average all the time, he had some very good performances. You could count them on one hand. He was a winger who did his best work in the centre of the park, but when we played him there games passed him by. I don't know how we could accommodate him, particularly now we've got Anita and Sissoko on top of Cabaye and Tiote.
  2. I would've liked to seen more of Marveaux but let's be honest about it, he was pretty average when he did get a look in. I'm not entirely sure why he's behind Obertan in the pecking order but that's about it.
  3. Those two having fatigue is my main worry. Fuck fatigue, I want to at least try win a bloody trophy.
  4. A strong line up considering the injuries and suspension(s). You could probably make a case for Willo and Remy starting.
  5. The rivalry has been unhealthy for a while. Neither side has anything to play for so the two derbies take on even more importance resulting in radgies being even radgier. Not saying they're the only ones, but you just need to see the bile spouted on RTG to see how bad it's got. There's genuine hatred on there for Newcastle supporters from some of their lot (and I bet some of our dafter fans feel similar about them). I don't know how you can get through the day feeling that strongly about another bunch of people because of football. Pathetic doesn't quite do it justice. Yeah, I want to see us hammer the Mackems whenever we play them and I'd love them to sink through the league but I don't hate them or their fans. My best man was a Mackem.
  6. Bristow's a precious soul isn't he?
  7. we got taken to court over Jonas! Aye, and it fucking cost us about £10m I'd be surprised if their wasn't some sort of gentleman's agreement between ourselves and Cabaye that he can go after the World Cup.
  8. They've given Osvaldo a 3 match ban - seems harsh! http://www.itv.com/sport/football/article/2014-01-03/southampton-striker-dani-osvaldo-handed-three-game-ban-and-fined-40-000-for-newcastle-brawl/? We didn't really see what he did though did we? He got done for violent conduct so he must have done something that was seen by the officials. He kicked Woodman in the cock.
  9. I'd not be happy if we were forced on a bubble trip and I do have some sympathy but this sort of stuff... Christ on a fucking bike, you'd think butter wouldn't melt http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/incoming/article675247.ece/ALTERNATES/gallery-large/Newcastle-steve-harper-cropped
  10. I have enjoyed making the fuckers squirm about the ticket price. They turned down the £20 reciprocal ticket deal, not us. They go quiet when you point that out.
  11. I'd have sympathy if they weren't on RTG claiming they've never, ever done anything wrong and they're being punished for our actions. Must've forgot the pitch invasions every single fucking time they score.
  12. At the time I couldn't help but think "Yep, deserved a red card but fuck me that's how you two-footed tackle" Immaculately timed. All of the ball, none of the man.
  13. Depends how much more Short wants to put in. Can see a couple out possibly in order to raise funds. Possibly Giaccherini. Can Short afford to put money in without a sale though because of FFP? Not on the basis of the club's recent accounts, but then I suppose they don't need to worry about qualifying for Europe. There's a load of contracts up at the end of the season too. Short might splurge to try save their Premier League status. Or he might see relegation as a risk worth taking if there's loads of dead wood moving on in May anyway.
  14. Tan's most dickish move has been changing the colour of the shirt and their badge. Sacking Mackay isn't actually that bad.
  15. One year left on his contract (Dec 14) with Anzhi now a selling club and strong relegation candidates. Strong ? haven't won a game all season 19 in We basically fucking broke them
  16. Some of our fans just plain don't like Pardew. It's understandable, he can be a difficult person to like and there are a lot of flaws, however he deserves a huge chunk of credit for our recent upswing in form for which he is responsible. He took brave decisions that would be unpopular so he could implement a system which suited us better and we've started to pick up results. I don't see a problem with people discussing issues, however some posters either see what they want to see or have a rather tenuous grasp on reality. Example: after the Southampton game I came in this very thread and saw a couple of people complaining about how defensive we were in the second half, even though we only conceded because our back four was on the edge of their final third and Santon had tried to lob the ball into their box rather than take the conservative option and spray it wide to Debuchy. It's not entirely surprising that posters get defensive when they come into threads and see guff like that.
  17. It looked out to me in real time and I sit more or less level with that particular byline.
  18. No fucking way. Mackay's achievements at Cardiff have been greatly exaggerated because he was working for a fucking loon.
