  1. Join NUFC Mobile! Not convinced? Here's Justin Lockwood roughing up a bloke dressed as a mobile phone.
  2. Has anyone broached the subject of the frankly baffling stewarding by the club today? What was having a couple of blokes in orange bibs standing on the stairs meant to achieve other than increasing the risk of tripping over them and breaking your neck when trying to leave your seat?
  3. He's just magnificent. Absolutely cracking footballer and he's turning into a top class full back. Looking like a snip at £5 million. He needs to sort that fucking fringe out though
  4. They've been fortunate that, other than Arsenal (and even they were the better side despite looking well out of sorts), they've played dross so far this season. If they defend on the edge of their six yard box like they have been against a side with top 8 aspirations they'll get absolutely fucking bummed.
  5. Brummie must be smug. He's been telling it like it is from day one
  6. No, however I would like the club to be as awkward as humanly possible. There last match was against Liege and they were 5,000 under capacity.
  7. A lot of people wont be able to. For example my Eurostar ticket is non-refundable, so I'm having a nice trip to Bruges whether I like it or not.
  8. Not a chance, all the bars will be thinking about is the ££££ they will make a bomb if there are thousands of Geordies on the drink. Exactly. Almost every single one will have the match on (providing it's on Belgian TV).
  9. So they've basically bought lock, stock and barrel into Sky's stereotypical version of a Geordie which has, coupled with this ridiculous sense of injustice that people in some quarters believe us to be a bigger club, contributed to this absolutely hysterical hatred of all things NUFC? Fark me I don't care what they think about Pardew. His comments last season have been taken out of context which is a bit annoying but I get the feeling there's previous between him and Everton.
  10. We're not alone in that though. Much of what Tottenham did was funded by the Modric and van der Vaart sales, Arsenal invested knowing that van Persie was going to leave for a fair whack, Liverpool's owners have been pretty outspoken in their stance that they're not going to spend more can the club afford and Everton made a tidy sum from the Rodwell deal. It's rather amusing that while the media constantly tell us we're a selling club and if a huge bid comes in we'll take the cash yet we're one of the few that managed to keep hold of our biggest names this summer Personally I don't subscribe to the idea that the Premier League is perpetually improving in quality. I do think, in certain circumstances, that keeping your best players can be just as good as spunking millions up the wall. Only time will tell whether it was the right decision.
  11. It doesn't fit with the narrative that he wants away because we didn't sign his bum chum.
  12. The Demon Headmaster has a point.
  13. Yes. It talks about how the authorities tried - and failed - to smear fans by taking blood samples from the dead (including a 10-year-old) to test for alcohol levels. What were the findings of said blood samples from the dead and any other tests/investigations they did? Normal for a sporting event of that nature. There were no signs of excessive drunkenness. The dead and the injured who had their blood taken also had their backgrounds checked to see if they had any criminal records to further smear the supporters.
  14. Apparently so. It's Scouseaphobic to actually say they were at fault in any way whatsoever. Which is frankly ridiculous. The cover up by the coppers however is a monumental disgrace. We KNEW they had done it of course, just the scale, and number of others involved in the cover up There have now been two reports which make a mockery of the idea of ticketless fans causing the crush, in addition to the large amount of work that has also been done in the 23 years since by a vast array of other individuals, studying CCTV of fans entering the ground and footage from outside the ground proving that there were no more Liverpool fans trying to get in than was expected. It's not "Scouseaphobic" to absolve these fans of blame. It's common sense because they don't exist and never have.
  15. Not the brightest bulb in the box are you? I suggest you read up on a subject before spouting shite and ultimately making a tit of yourself. For the record, the crush occurred in the central pen which a lot of fans were carried into by the crowd when the gates were opened.
  16. If I remember rightly 44 ambulances outside the stadium were kept out because the police said it was rioting. Only one made it in. I wasn't aware that police authorities were complicit at the time (ie. on the day). I thought the main scandal related to the post-event cover up (the alcohol testing post-mortems/criminal checks etc) to exculpate themselves from their negligence. Why would they block ambulances on the day? I imagine the general disdain for supporters, inexperience of Duckenfield and no idea of the scale of the problem all contributed to it.

  18. Police attempted to "to develop and publicise a version of events that focused on drunkenness, ticketlessness and violence" "Evidence shows attempts by police to change records of events" "The report finds that police efforts "publicise records of events of violence and ticketless-ness."" "Police reports were significantly altered, but events find that 164 statements were significantly altered, and 116 explicitly removed criticism of the police."
  19. It's not shocking because we already knew most the cryptic bullshit he's posted. We know that the club has a strict transfer policy that means we will only do deals on our terms. It hasn't changed since Keegan left because that was the bloody plan, with Carr as a much more capable version of Dennis Wise and Pards as Keegan, albeit with more clarity over his exact role in the whole transfer business. I've no doubt Pardew wanted more players and some of the squad are a bit miffed we haven't spunked cash up the wall. I've no doubt Wraith has heard a few whispers about this from his 'sources' and decided that it was his duty to tweet about the HUGE unrest enveloping the NUFC camp (and that these tweets have absolutely nothing to do with attracting an audience for his fanzine, match day bar venture, boxing promotions or books about the Kray twins). I've also no doubt this will blow over in a few weeks time if we pick up a few wins. As for Cabaye, if he hadn't had a shaky start brought on by the fact he's sitting deep in a midfield four because Tiote is injured, he's been crocked himself this preseason and just came off what was an 11 month season we'd not be pissing worrying. The idea that he's in a girly huff because we didn't sign Debuchy (which is something I've seen floated a million times this summer) is absolutely mental, considering not 12 months ago he gladly fucked off over the channel away from him and spent an entire season playing like he was having the time of his life. Bang on. I think there is some mild hysteria regarding his start to the season. From what I've seen he hasn't been brilliant but hasn't been all that bad either. Just typical start of season stuff really. But for a superb last minute save by the Villa keeper the masses may have been talking about his "fantastic" start to the season. Last season we had an uncharacteristically brilliant start, which included a win over the Mackems. That helped quell the complaints about lack of signings last year.
  20. Of course there's nothing wrong with that. It's been over 23 years since Hillsborough and the families of the 96 still don't know why their loved ones died, almost entirely because the authorities conducted themselves in the most sickening, underhand manner. If nothing else this entire process will have been worth it if it stops people (many of which should really know better) trotting out the same old slanderous shite about the conduct of Liverpool supporters, all of which was proven to be utter tosh by the Taylor Report. I seriously doubt it though. I don't like Liverpool FC as a football club, I don't like the way they conducted themselves throughout the Luis Suarez saga and I can't abide their deluded, entitled support but I stand shoulder to shoulder with them on Hillsborough. It could've been any club or any set of supporters and to use a tragic act as a stick to beat them with is pretty sick. JFT96.

Very much enjoyed reading your posts recently. Grounded and logical rather than hysterical and overly negative. Cheers, however I can assure you that in real life I'm a terrible wanker.
