"High profile" is an interesting phrase here, on other allegations they've specified premier league, so I'm guessing this is a big name in the Championship.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/sep/26/david-moyes-struggles-sunderland-relegation-battle%3f0p19G=e Maybe it's that their fans measure success entirely in relation to another club. 17th is fantastic if the mags go down, get the plane banners out. 13th would be a miserable season if the mags qualify for Europe. How do you work towards to success when such a large percentage of what success is defined as is completely unrelated to how you perform on the pitch?

Not sure if it's the moderators or the posters most at fault but, football aside, the forum is a nightmare. 10 threads on Moyes on the front page and someone makes a new one just called "Moyes..." and containing nothing more than saying he only has a few games to save his job in this guy's opinion. That couldn't have just been a post in another thread? Even the avatars are terrible, stretched and pixelated. Again, dunno if this is just Mackems not able to source or crop and image properly before having it next to all their posts forever or something user unfriendly in the board software.

There's a mackem on my catamaran in a yellow training top. Seems a reasonable chap, haven't interacted with him and so the journey was uneventful.

Textbook cognitive dissonance.

Penny drops about 4 pages in "my mate was doing it for bites""But he only got bites from us, not the mags"

Wasn't there a link a few pages back? Think it was from here I saw it. "QPR fan says we were louder at 1-0 down than the mags were at 6-0 up". Which is even an embellishment on the fake tweet, cos it didn't mention when they were louder.

It's actually a good question asked for a stupid reason. The viewership of the channel is far larger than the Gaelic speaking population of Scotland, because people who can't speak Gaelic still watch the football on it, because you don't need to understand the commentary to watch the game. Showing as much Scottish football as they can enables them to have a viewership that justifies the channel's existence when contract renewal comes around and allows them to use it to achieve their goal of promoting a minority language.

Bearing in mind the grief Mags get on there, 90% of the forum should be excluded from any jobs in which they have to interact with anyone form Newcastle.

Pathetic Fitting the bulbs to Penshaw monument as we speak. http://news.images.itv.com/image/file/351571/image_update_img.jpg Wow, I never realised before how well dressed they are at the Stadium of Light.

That Van Aanholt thing is weird, withdrawn because of "injury" but seemed news to him and Moyes clammed up about it when asked. Are you allowed to change a player after you've submitted your teamsheet if they're not injured? Could they be in bother if it's discovered they lied about the injury and it was something else? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3795428/Is-moment-Sunderland-defender-Jason-Denayer-informs-Patrick-van-Aanholt-s-no-longer-team-play-Tottenham.html Surely it's an advantage if you can change your team after seeing the opposing lineup. Guess it could be that he'd had some bad family news or something and they wanted to withdraw him for that.

Some folk seem really, really worried that this thread makes us look "obsessed". Looks like they care more about what mackems think than the regular posters in the thread they're decrying.
-
You'd think with how grim it's looking for them that they'd start preemptively dialing back on the "I don't follow the lower leagues" stuff and using "championship club" as an insult...

Sunderland Echo writer says based on how shit QPR were last night, Sunderland should beat them. Conclusion - MAG. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/new-sunderland-echo-reporter-apparently-a-mag.1276057/

Do we want them to stick with Moyes as they meander towards relegation, of sack him and go down our old route of having 4 managers in a season and spiraling into chaos?
