Don't buy players, offer bonus for winning cup, don't win cup because you don't have the players to facilitate a cup run, don't pay bonus. File alongside "I won't leave until we win something. And - important and relevant clarification - I count us finishing in the top four as winning something."

Hm. Shame about the cult fugure nonsense at the start. Aye but to an outsider, he was buying the fans pints etc and brought back KK! I was one of the people who was saying bringing Kev back was a pretty stupid idea. Hard to say I've been proven right though, because who knows what someone who wasn't a complete thundercunt would have made of that setup.

I was at that Hull away game. Makes me wonder what I'm doing with my life.

This is a smokescreen for him leaving.

Football clubs will be banned from signing shirt sponsorship deals with betting companies under a Labour government, as the party pledges to tackle a “hidden epidemic” of addiction and protect children from early exposure to gambling. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2017/sep/06/ban-betting-firms-football-shirts-labour-gambling

Most reports today claim so. ? Glad Jeremy Beadle approves.

looks like his ambition is taking the club back to the 70s, Looks that way. Only have to wait 20 years or so till we're good again! Better than I expected.

Had a missed call from my dad at ten to nine, assumed someone had died or Rafa had left so checked here. Turns out he wanted to know if I could come over for lasagna tomorrow.

May be Giggs, but the record transfer of each premier league club and the year the transfer was made...

Slow motion car crash, innit.

Cheaper than getting an Uber though, got to watch those pennies.

Can he play upfront?

Spare a thought for those long-suffering Arsenal fans though.

Their top isn't half going to clash with his hair.

Unfortunately the price of a decent 10-goal-per-season PL striker with 2 days to go in the window is probably about 3x what we'd be willing to pay.

Several West Ham fans in cuffs already in the concourse area where they're being searched.

aggro? Not especially football related, some local who decided my mate was "staring at his lass's tits" on Saturday night out in Huddersfield and repeatedly tried to offer him out for a fight and some Toon fan lads who weren't happy at us bollocking them for singing daft racist shite on Sunday on the way back. Neither ended with any punches thrown, just lots of stupid grandstanding.
