For me it depends wholly on who the alternative is of course Should do to most sensible people, but even if it was Mourinho it would be spun as "[Nationality] Mafia shun Geordie's messiah, Toon Army inconsolable as hero Alan forced out of club", something which I'm sure the element who hang around SSN vans trying to get on telly would probably be happy to go along with

Heaven help anyone who buys the club and decides not to appoint Shearer, the media will whip the idiots into immediate boycoutt mode.

Doesn't it seem a pretty pointless exercise negotiating conditions for the coming season with an owner who doesn't plan to be in charge next season anyway?
-
Well, Everton were one of the last teams to have a black player after all

Went in there today and they didn't seem to know anything about this. Young lad and a lass were working there and I asked if they did any designs or owt to put on the back of a newcastle shirt. The lass offered me Premier League lettering and I said I was more interested in a crest or something, preferably the old one. The lass said they might be able to do it at first, but then the lad chipped in and said they weren't allowed to do any crests. Asked if they did anything else, like Monty Magpie prints or anything and they said no, but they think they used to do stuff like that. So it doesn't sound like that's where people are getting these prints done. You never know mind, I got the impression I wasn't talking to the organ grinder.

I know they're obsessed with us like, but...

Might go along and have a look, see what else that can put on it as well. Amazed it's still going to be honest, last time I passed it was years and years ago. Are their computers all still 486s?

Could be saved, put a shield or something around the capital E and make it into a kind of crest or something, separate from the rest of the word

Seen a similar one with the liver bird and "Liverpol" underneath that some scouser got done on holiday. Maybe that one's supposed to be that awful chant they do, "Eeeeverton, Eeeerverton"

Do you think Ashley would have put the for sale signs up if we'd stayed up? I'm imagining we'd have ended up with him wanting Shearer to stay, Al refusing unless Ashley meets demands he feels he's unable to, and Mike continuing to plod on with JFKL or Dowie.

When I'm old, I'm going to look old and saggy anyway, so who gives a s***? Trust me when you get to your middle ages you'll be looking for a way to get rid of that hidieous "art" that you put on yourself. This is the time to invest money in shares of tattoo remval companies. I was right about our Ashley and our struggles with relegation and I'm right about this. Ridiculous that you think you can assume this about people that you've never even met. That's the problem with tattoos, they cause you to assume things about people and it's generally not that complimentary. I think when you meet people who harp on about "Ooh, look at me, I have no tattoos, that's because I don't try and be cool like those people with tattoos" it makes you think thigns about them which are not complimentary. It's like those tea-total straight-edge kids who go on and on boring people to tears about how they don't need to drink to have a good time, and how people only drink because they think it makes them look cool and because they secretly hate themselves. LOL sure you do. I've lived a really boring life, because I have no tattoos and think they are hidieous. Insert rollyeyes smiley here. No-one in this thread has said that, just like no-one has said that having tattoos makes them cool or hard. There you go again, second guessing people's motivations and making up some absurd caricature to argue against. If you don't like tattoos, don't have one and don't sit around posting in tattoo threads, I would have thought it was pretty simple.

People might as well tell you that when you're old you're going to regret never having had a tattoo. I am old and I'm am really proud that I never put any ink in my body or have any piercings I'm not sure exactly what it proves about someone, does it mean you're hard or cool or something ? I'm glad I've missed out on that particular fad. Does not having tattoos make you cool and awesome? Too hard to have a tattoo? Too clever? Too individual? Why on earth would you be proud of it? I've never shaved me head because I didn't want to and I don't think it would suit me, I don't see it as some kind of badge of pride or think that people only do it because they think it makes them look hard or cool and I'm better than that.

Could prove difficult. Storyboard

If I do get it done (only gonna be small, about 2 inches across on my shoulder blade) I'll post some pics. I think everyone else should join in an get a tattoo of their avatar as well.
-
I'll probably end up with a very similar one as well (nearly had it done at uni but decided against it). I'm sure there are plenty of people with the brown ale blue star or variations of it - a mate of mine has one on his leg, but inside it's more of a detailed close up of the tyne bridge than the black skyline. How many people have the club crest or that pic of monty magpie in his top hat?
-
Been planning on getting this on one of my shoulder blades for ages, thought it would be quite original but apparently not

Looks like the back of a Sky remote.

Surely Shearer's decision now rest solely on who buys the club and what terms they can offer him. If someone buys the club that is, I foresee a long period in limbo with no manager, no funds and no direction.
-
Yeah, got the 3 year direct debit deal and no intention of cancelling it.
-
You know people would always say how Shearer was always going to be our manager one day and would be hanging over the head of anyone else appointed until he did? If he leaves now is that the end of that or will it always be taken as read that he'll be back one day in a permanent capacity?
