  1. I'd say he's easily one of the most naturally talented members of the squad and I reckon he's quite capable of doing good things at a club like Villa to be honest. This is the problem with being a team in such a shit situation, if you're stable and on the up you can keep more of the the sulky talented players on board. Disheartening we're losing someone with a natural ability to control a ball and giving a logn contract to Shola, whose brain and feet seem to communicate via royal mail.
  2. Dunno if his sisters will be too happy about the move mind.
  3. Doesn't bother me, I'm in the East Stand.
  4. Remember things like signing the best striker in the world for a record fee?
  5. Fuck it, I'm just glad that players with two legs might be coming in the right direction
  6. "Sky Sports News understands Shay Given could lave Newcastle for Man City in next 24 hours" at the bottom of the screen
  7. Just seen Kinnear on SSN saying "Shay Given pulled out yesterday with a knee injury and insomnia... Uh, N'Zogbia pulled out with an ankle injury as well" For a split second I wondered what the fuck he was on about
  8. No worries - he wont pass the medical cos he had a knee injury yesterday Unless they meant he had nee injury
  9. What a confidence boost it must be to find that your level is contempory Newcastle
  10. I think all of these questions should be asked by Jack Bauer in order to make sure we get answers.
  11. Looking at the table, three points for us on Sunday would be an absolutely massive boost for us while if we lose and some other results go against us we could find ourselves in a whole new world of shit, surpassing even the most grim moments of the season.
  12. Can't remember ever facing a derby with such little confidence in both the ability of the players to perform or of the manager to motivate them.
  13. Fucking hell, only heard his post-match Blackburn interview today. Sounded a broken and defeated man and like he was about to top himself, not the kind of guy you want motivating the players.
  14. I'd have liked Bullard here to be honest, a good, honest hard working player who could have done a job for us.
  15. Had a dream last night that I was sitting in the pub reading in the The Mirror that N'Zogbia had announced he was having a sex change and we were discussing if he'd still be able to play football (I was having to explain to someone that I meant if he'd still be allowed to play football under the rules of the game, not just because lasses can't play football). Still believed it for about 10 seconds after I woke up.
  16. Child abuse It's OK, it was bearly legal. I've liked Johnson from what I've seen of him (kept an eye on him because he had a stint in my fantasy team) but he does have some kind of recurring stomach hernia type thing that's required an operation and he looks like an actual child.
  17. Does anyone really think there's an iota of chance that Joe Kinnear is still going to be manager in July 2011? How come we have to be so painstakingly frugal in the transfer market but are quite willing to line ourselves up a nigh-on certain severance payout?
  18. Maybe someone should go and staple that article to Ashley's forehead.
  19. Spending the whole transfer window chasing a pipe-dream multi-million trophy signing while neglecting the strengthen the areas your team are severely lacking in, sounds uncannily familiar.
  20. That utter fucking cunt Cahill has ruined my week. Thanks to that Arteta assist and Hyppia and Reina losing their clean sheets I've lost my pub head to head game, been dumped out of my work fantasy cup, slip down the pub league and lost a load of points in my prediction league.

    Black Power!

I'm saying it's a commentator cliché to talk about African teams having a lot of pace and natural ability but fail due to not having enough tactical nous.

    Black Power!

If we're going to fill the squad with black players based on the strong and athletic stereotype, don't forget the "lack of tactical guile" stereotype that gets trotted out by commentators every time an african team concedes a sloppy goal
  23. Not like that's ever backfired before http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_nRU5BjOPBRw/SLfBINT_EUI/AAAAAAAAAhA/dLsJ4LA1KT0/s400/chelsea+robinho+kit.jpg
  24. Bellamy not included in the Hammers squad against Fulham.
  25. And his regular successful conversions from free kicks.
