    Charlton Fans?

Only time I can remember is when we did the old applaud onto the pitch then jokingly boo first time he got the ball. Always got a great reception from us and usually applauded the fans at the end.
  2. Just back from watching it in the pub. We gave them 3 or 4 chances that a better team would have put away, martins missed a sitter and all his shots were wank. Exactly as predicted they were shit, we were spineless. As spineless as the appointment of Roeder, in fact.

    Roeder Out

I don't think it's booze, sounds more like hormones.

    Roeder Out

It was another game in Europe, makes us a great team, much better than the rest of the league. If we have to trawl through Intertoto next season that's even more games to win in europe which will make us even acer and the most sucessfulest European team in the world, much better than clubs that have won meaningless tat like trophies. Well done Fred!

    Rooney or Martins?

Does this thread remind anyone else of gg-chat?
  8. Sounds like a visiting fan edited it to take the piss, running joke amongst other supporters about how high up we put them - ie the Arsenal match report about walking up the stairs for hours, passing skeletons in various premier league shirts along the way.
  9. Oh, I'd certainly rather he was fit than injured, especially with the state of our squad at the moment. I'm just trying to explain why some people see a down side.
  10. Well Roeder often does the same thing with Shola that he does with Steven Carr, bafflingly gushing about how brilliant and important he is in a manner that goes way beyond just standing up for the lad. Which gives the impression that the return of Shola is a welcome alternative to getting a striker of premiership first 11 standard.

  12. The signing of Tevez and Mascherano now makes Luque look like a great buy, is there anything else that can go wrong with it if they get points deducted?
  13. Nope, give him loads of money, say he's not going anywhere, sack him the next week after a poor result at home safe in the knowledge that loads of people will want to manage us, end up panic-appointing a bargain basement manager no-one else wants, rinse, repeat.
  14. Someone else will be injured by then, can't see it being a dilemma.

    Gary Neville

    Gary Neville is a c**t, Is a c**t, Is a c**t, Gary Neville is a c**t, So's his brother.

    Owen for Kuyt?

Owen may be twice the player but Kuyt may end up playing twice the amount of games... Wouldn't happen like, but I'd rather have a half good striker on the pitch than a good striker off playing golf and getting physio sessions. Of course the ideal situation is a fit Owen, although I wont hold my breath for it.
  17. Where the f*** are you doing posting on here! You should be already queuing outside the ground by now like a proper fan!
  18. Online petitions aren't worth the paper they aren't printed on sadly. http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/petition/internet.htm
  19. Those young uns these days with their long hair and their rock music and their pacman. Tsch.
  20. Yes, I'll be in the pub killing two birds with one stone seeing my lass and catching up with mates I've been promising to see for weeks without spending £20 and having to spend hours getting in and out of Newcastle. I bet my left bollock the atmosphere is better in the pub an all. When I was 17 I'd have been at this match (Cos I went to all the home european matches), sat next to my Dad, bovril in hand just like you will be gurning at the 5 camera in your black and white jester hat.
  21. Never mind, maybe they don't have it any more. The fact is I'm time poor. I work a lot of nights and weekends and my lass works 9-5, I have to juggle seeing her (well seeing her awake) with seeing my mates going to matches, work and all the other stuff you have to do when you're grown up. I don't have enough free time to go and see every mean-nothing match, every training session, testamonial and player unveiling and I'm not going to be told by some bum-fluffed semi-literate gobshite whose commitments mostly include tidying his room that I've got to go otherwise I'm not a proper fan.
  22. Getting called a PTS by a YTS, what an insult.
