  1. Mike Ashley is a pretty awesome dude. Quote this if you agree.

Nah, that's hardly correct. How? For it to be correct you're saying you would unequivocally trust the opinion of someone who watched the team live over someone who watched it on TV, regardless of who those two people actually are. If they were your grandma and Wenger, would it hold? Or an 8 year old and Mancini? Obviously not. So there are more factors involved in "knowing more" than the property of watching it live vs remote. I'm not questioning that it gives you the ability to make better judgments, but it does not bestow the realization of that potential upon you.

  5. It could soooooooo easily be moved on by TRon answering a simple question, but unfortunately it'll blow his argument out of the water. You are such a tit you can't even see your own hypocrisy. How many training sessions have you seen compared to Chris Hughton who has seen far more of these players on or off the field than you yet you feel qualified to pass negative judgement on his management skills. So once again I ask...what's your point? Why are you bringing Hughton into this? How many games have you seen him live in? It can't be that hard to fucking count them man. It's stupid because it's obvious where you're going with it, and it's obvious that it doesn't matter. Seeing someone from halfway across a stadium vs a TV doesn't magically give you any better perspective on something than anyone else. In some respects that's correct, but it gives you a far better indication of their movement & effort and awareness in making the right runs. They are things I think Best is particularly poor at. That's a much shorter list than mine

  7. aaaaahhhh nervous as fuck. 3 points would be insane after that 1st half.
  8. The point I made earlier about it still stands; even if we needed relegation, it was never Ashley's intent and he cannot be credited with it, nor any positive fallout from it. At best he can be called an unwitting, if not unwilling, orchestrator. In acting in the events leading up to it, he may have been saying/doing the right things in regards to cutting costs and wages and not paying ridiculous sums and whatever - and of course doing the wrong things in hiring/backing wise and lamby etc - but he would never have been about wanting relegation.
  9. Brilliant. Nowt better than getting one over on yourself. Is that what they're calling it these days?
  10. How would that work? The home team wouldn't be allowed to stream the match. Yeah, that way it encourages fans to go to home games, and because most away fans would go weather or not their is a stream or not it shouldn't have much of an impact on away support. What about foreign fans? The whole purpose of streaming is to reach a larger audience.
  11. Not complaining. They always looked more up for it. Should have pushed harder for a 2nd before they equalized.
  12. We can watch for free on espn360.com Not sure about actual tele.
  13. Even if it's somehow proven, in 20 years time, that relegation was a necessary or positive move, it still will not have been down to any positive intent on Mike Ashleys part. While I (still) don't think he sets out with evil in his heart, it's what happens. When good happens it seems to be out of dire necessity or accident.
  14. Surely if it was only for this season he would deserve much higher than a 4? We're top of the league and we've made some good signings. For this season? CategoryGradeReason Manager selection0/2Don't see how this was even a question - he had no options. Didn't reappoint an ailling jfk in a panic? not worth a point. Backing the Manger1/1Spent, even though we had to resort to some plan B's Strategy0/2Have yet to see a cohesive plan from the man. "Get back to the premiership" is so glaringly obvious I can't consider it worth a point. Finances2/2I'm sure the loans he's giving us to keep us afloat will have to be paid back some day; that doesn't make them not a good move at this point in time. Media management0/1hahahahahahahahaha General runnming of the club1/2sportsdirect@st james park
  15. Are these marks for this season only or since the beginning? 4 if the former, 1 if the latter.
  16. http://imgur.com/SbfvB.jpg Should never occur that that's not given as a goal. Never. (I fully realize such incidents are few and far between, but why accept imperfection?)
  17. Rubbish decision. Make no bones about the science and technology in lighter kits or better balls or better pitch conditions or magic spray or shinguards or shoes or drink for athletes or sports medicine or even headsets on refs nowadays BUT GOD FUCKING FORBID A GOAL BE CORRECTLY CALLED ALL THE TIME, LET'S KEEP TECHNOLOGY OUT OF IT LADS edit: *inhales, calms down*
