I think we give a lot of leeway to the zog because of the circumstances at the club, first under the deplorable souness where he actually shone and then under gormless glenn where he was dropped for duff etc, but honestly both his play and his attitude have turned shit recently and as much as I'd like to blame those extenuating circumstances the truth of the matter is the blame lies firmly with Charlie. He needs a boot, or ten, up the backside.
I don't so much mind Shepherd spilling a little of it in public though I hope whatever devils that are in the details remain private.
Once again it's down to the woodwork being the best defender on the pitch for the majority of games and our keepers pulling off some miracles to keep us in games.
Furthermore a better defense allows a better transition game which allows more end product from the attacking third.
I hope people understand that Owen isn't the walking sicknote he's made out to be. Two freakish injuries back to back have kept him out for two years. Freakish. As in not-Dyeresque.
He puts one in every other game when healthy against any opposition. Bellamy doesn't. Owen for me, end of.
This season you mean?
Funnily enough in the eyes of some barely scraping by in the premiership is acceptable, just because years ago we had a shit board ...
is it page 10 already? How time flies when you're scrolling through miles of quoted text.
For the record, 10 pages later, we need both fullbacks and forwards, but the conditions surrounding the needs of both are so very subjective to the style of play our next manager brings that it's pointless arguing which one ahead of the other now.
As if something being pointless has ever stopped anyone on this forum before. See you lot again on page 20, maybe we'll have a manager by then.
Definitely needs to clear out the backroom leeches. Then get shot of everyone bar Given, Tayls, *Emre, Milner, Zog, Martins and Owen.
* I know some don't rate him but I think Allardyce could get a lot of use from him.
