Otamendi was 100% a pen. Scott Stevens would have been proud of that hit.

And how could Man United just go and get Rakitic, Asensio or James Rodriguez?

Two years left on the contract and can't see him signing a new one. He's gone.

The clock is the most ridiculous thing in that segment. They started to look at VAR on 86, play resumed on 94 and the referee ended it on 95.

What a fucking utter weirdo. Sarri was 56 when he got his first big job and had to go against Juve. Then won a trophy (almost two) and finished in the top 4 with an ordinary Chelsea team and that was somehow seen as a failure. Also comparing Segunda Division to whatever the Italian 8th tier is called.

Additional income from that would be peanuts compared to all the TV money.

That's just pedantic. There are numerous sports where the replay is integrated well and it's not used for everything. Football should have got rid of the 90 minute continuous clock ages ago and instead use a 60 minute clock that would stop whenever the ball is not in play. Would get rid of so much time wasting and unnecessary controversy. People also wouldn't be so much against VAR for stopping the play for a minute or two. It's about time they introduced another ball to the field, too. And walls. https://talksport.com/football/315919/average-ball-play-time-each-premier-league-side-201718-season-171127263506/ Tell me one positive thing about the current 90 minute continuous clock that isn't "that's how they decided it to be in the 1880s". I also have trouble seeing how it would encourage shithousery. I really love wondering about how much added time there will be and at which point the ref decides to blow the whistle, then complain about it in the match thread. Part of the charm of the game.

Absolute horseshit article. I will never understand people that think refereeing errors somehow add to the game and experience.

Nations League is great. May seem pointless to to the bigger nations that always qualify but it's amazing for all the rest.

This post made after the Spurs game aged really well.

Turned it off after the guy suggested that Yedlin is one of the four current players that could be important when we eventually challenge for the title.

Liverpool's best player is playing for Holland tbf Barkley the only player starting for England today from the four finalist teams.

RIP but that is just stupid. You really can't defend someone who is driving 237 km/h outside a racing track.

Nah, Alli has been the worst.

It wasn't clear and obvious but it still wasn't a pen. Pata is right. Well the ref give it so thankfully you have to suck it up

Well 4 referees disagree with this. One ref, VAR will never overturn a subjective (but wrong) decision like that. There are 4 refs in the var box with one main official, the others can challenge. The whole decision wasn't even reviewed. Yes? Point was that VAR won't change a subjective decision like that when the ref clearly thought it was a foul. then whats the point of them? To correct clear errors but they won't tell the ref that 'hey, seems like you don't completely understand the handball foul, here's a leaflet'.

In a sport where the over/under is 2.5, an incident like that should not be worth a goal.
