It was amazing save by Pope. He didn't bite at the fakes and right before the kick his weight started to move to right but he quickly adjusted and was able to get to the ball. I know most hate those penalties but IMO it was more amazing job by Pope than a poor penalty by Eze. I doubt Pope did it on purpose but faking the way you are going will make the kicker look fucking stupid on those. It's the most efficient penalty style until keepers learn to adjust and I'm so happy Isak did it too recently.

Appreciation of height and athleticism have seen a bit of a resurgence lately IMO after the era of short technical players keeping possession no matter what. Pep playing four CBs to help with set piece defending and buying Haaland, Arsenal's big focus on set pieces and how well we've done with Eddie who clearly loves a big and athletic team. Was reading Redcafe after Sunday and so many Man Utd fans were crying about how weak and unfit their team looked against us.

Yeah but IMO it's still effective if the opposition is just sitting in a low block in their box. This kid based on that video is still good on the ground too. It's just not easy to win headers against someone who is two metres tall and better teams than us have stuck a big man up front recently in late stages of a match like Joselu at Real Madrid.

It's a horrible list. Ali Dia, Bebe, Kleberson, Djemba-Djemba, Taibi to name a few should never make a list like this. Djemba-Djemba was signed as a 22 year old kid and was sold on after two seasons while recouping most of the fee ffs. Taibi arrived as a Bosman and left after six months. Bebe might have been garbage but he was signed for under £8m in 2010 and I'm pretty sure they got very close to recouping that fee from all the loans and then Benfica. How could he ever be the 3rd worst signing in PL history? He probably shouldn't make the top 250 worst PL signings.
