We weren’t really. Can’t control the game for 90 minutes against anyone in PL. They had two good spells all half, one from a throw in and another when Gordon lost the ball.

Every player/human handles it differently. Burn obviously is mentally strong enough to not care about it while Longstaff could never recover here despite showing at Leeds that he’s a good PL player. I don’t think there’s any need for the grumbling in 99% of the cases unless it’s for lack of trying, professional footballers know very well when they have fucked up.

His confidence is ripped to pieces right now. We just have to give him minutes here and there and hope some things come off for him and get the positive snowball rolling. It has been a horrific start to his career here but I have faith he can still become useful. I thought he should've passed live but looking at the replay the ball to Barnes would have to be inch perfect to not be intercepted while not being too behind for Barnes.

This just isn't true. We scored the 2-1 goal at 74', Thiaw almost scored at 81', Murphy came on at 78' and hits the post at 82'. We were having a really good spell, why would he need to make an intervention to stop that?

Very happy with that second half performance, unlucky not to have scored more than two. Think the equalizer was just a good goal too, Tonali could've done better but can't blame him too much. It's just a fact that a good home team down a goal is going to push up in the final minutes, don't think we consciously sat back tonight.
