  1. Didn't feel like an SOL game to me, there wasn't nearly enough plastic bags and Greggs wrappers floating around the pitch.
  2. Love how they're supposed to have this crop of great young players, Miley comes on and strides around like he owns the place.
  3. Can't believe I was worried about that game, what a joke.
  4. Thought they'd give us a lot more problems running at our full backs tbh, these are absolutely shit. Joelinton looks like he's playing against a bunch of 8 year olds. We need another though, don't trust us at all with a late one goal lead.
  5. Don't suppose anyone knows why the Seaham Red Star manager was banned for several months last year?

    Dogawful Officiating

    This is a bizarre clarification
  7. I think that's fair but we are so bare bones that even that hasn't been a recent option. Willock's energy and versatility has just been such an enormous miss all season.
  8. When Liverpool thumped West Ham a couple of weeks ago in the League Cup, they brought Salah, Trent and Diaz on despite being 3-0 up and coasting.
  9. TBF we were still in with a half chance of a point until a ridiculous penalty was given with 5 mins left.
  10. Just take a look at the thread when the team was announced for the Man United cup tie (that we won 3-0 away) many posts along the lines of "Ritchie? Howe is chucking the tie then" The idea that anyone would have seen him selected in a PL game and gone "ooh great rotation selection Eddie" is hindsight on steroids.
  11. Surely that's more evidence of it mainly being down to extreme fatigue than suddenly the league's best defensive unit has turned into the worst with mainly the same players and the same manager in the space of a month?
  12. One of our players that we're all like "Jesus this long term injury is a disaster" is Jacob Murphy.
  13. Liverpool brought on Jota, Gakpo, Gravenberch and Mac Allister. Harvey Elliott didn't get on. They have injuries too, Matip, Robertson, Tsimikas, Thiago. Both their quality left backs are fucked and they still have Joe Gomez to play there. That's what rotation is meant to look like when you play a CL campaign, two elite XIs plus cover even for them. We're squabbling over whether Lewis Hall and Matt Ritchie should have been given an extra 20 minutes, it's deckchairs on the Titanic stuff. The problem for any club that qualifies out of the blue like we did is that all the other clubs in it, especially in England, have built CL capable squads up over a decade. FFP stops us doing that in one go or even several.
  14. You've embarrassed yourself there because it wasn't Drury, it was Guimaraes.
  15. I wouldn't have the slightest hesitation in throwing my hands up and fucking the whole thing off again if Mourinho were to rock up.

    Football pet hates

Shearer's probably the worst for that, he likes to say football pitch as well.
  17. Nobody will ever convince me that Zidane's goal was anywhere near as good as most people seem to think it was. As far as Champions League final goals go, it's just not even close to Gareth Bale imo.
  18. Saint Emery's boys have been piss poor second half
  19. Did you see him try to keep up with Ogbene on Saturday? Looked like he was running through treacle.
  20. We are losing every 50:50 and every second ball. Couldn't be more obvious how little they have in the tank.
  21. I've never seen such a one footed player, it's mental. Trying to put it wide of his own post behind him with his left instead of just booting it away with the right was remarkable.
  22. I had a vague recollection of Liverpool being really poor away last season. Results from the start of the season until April, wins in bold: Fulham 2-2 Man United 2-1 Everton 0-0 Arsenal 3-2 Forest 1-0 Spurs 1-2 Villa 1-3 Brentford 3-1 Brighton 3-0 Wolves 3-0 Newcastle 0-2 Palace 0-0 Bournemouth 1-0 Man City 4-1 Sometimes these things happen. It's the manager's job to put things right but it's also the supporters' job not to wet themselves and get on the back of a proven manager at the first sign of trouble, especially when his team is filling in the gaps by winning every home game as Liverpool were and as we are.
  23. When players are playing shite, game by game, or just on one day, you drop them/take them off. But we can't. It's not just about fatigue, we're not in a position to do anything different in terms of personnel. This is not normal for so long with so many big games. If we leave out Almiron or Gordon who plays in their stead? Matt Ritchie, an out of position full back or a 16 year old from the academy that everyone agrees is still a bit rubbish?
  24. Playing Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday is now "almost a full week off"
  25. The team had possession back again, it had absolutely no impact on that goal whatsoever lmao
