As I expected, they didn't show Jonas' raping of Rooney to go alongside N'Zogbia skinning half the Man Utd squad last season. EDIT: eventually they did.

Taylor played really well. I probably don't need to say that I thought Duff was our worst player. When I see him play, I'm somehow reminded of a line from Mark Kermode's review of Pirates of the Caribbean 2 - "Nothing happened. I mean, a bunch of stuff happened but nothing actually happened."

Although this thread is meant to be a bit jokey you could search back to last season this time when I warned if performances wer going to be like the first half at Bolton then all would be fine. But, if they were like the second half...... Very impressed by today by the way. Yeah, if anything we played better in the second half. Taylor doesn't go down and you put a real LB out there and we could be talking about a victory right now. We've every right to wonder what would have happened had Taylor been on the pitch. I don't think we'd have conceded when we did but then they may have upped their game. A real shame though that he was off right when they were most fired up.

Fantastic result and a performance that fully deserved a point. Rode our luck a little first half but second half I thought we were at least equal to them and arguably better. Without wanting to kneejerk, the three signings look excellent so far and with a little bit more quality in certain positions, there's no reason we can't push on and up this season.

Nothing quite matches up to when they sent a new free season ticket to my Grandma, despite the fact she's never had a season ticket and hadn't been to SJP for about 25 years. They also sent me two separate cup semi final tickets when they got thoroughly confused by us playing Man Utd twice in a week. You'd think they'd have prepared for applications for two separate games against Man Utd, but no, too confusing.

This is the problem with the new regime trying to bring in a totally new system - all very good in theory but you've still got the same inept staff putting it into practice. Teething problems with a new system are to be expected - trouble is that they were shit at the old system as well.
