  1. Didn't take them long to delete it.
  2. Are the Portuguese media any more reliable than the English? Every English site and paper has reported it, all from Nicko's dribblings. I hope it's sorted tomorrow either way, I can't stand all this "his agent says this, the club say that" bollocks.
  3. I've a feeling it's the latter.
  4. Every single Portuguese site is carrying it. Another scoop for Nicko!

  7. His agent is "in tonight" but there's already problems with personal terms. It's only 5 to 7 now, the move's not only broken down but Nicko's got all the info. Mr Agent must have got to SJP from the airport something sharpish, obviously didn't get the Metro.
  8. The man's a walking talking joke.
  9. Is that really true? I don't know how you'd measure the column inches, but there was quite a bit of fuss about Martin Jol being out of favour and then Ramos arriving. No where near the coverage of KK's return. Google: Results 1 - 10 of about 966,000 for ramos tottenham Results 1 - 10 of about 697,000 for keegan newcastle. And there's a longer association between the words "keegan" and "newcastle" than between the words "ramos" and "tottenham". I get more from Keegan and Newcastle. Not that it means owt anyway. As has been pointed out, it's a pretty pointless debate.
  10. There's an interview with him on World for anyone interested.

IF I DON'T PLAY, I'M OUT OF TOON - OBA There, I've saved Shaun Custis a job for tonight.
  12. I read that at 7.30 this morning man.
  13. I'm a newcastle fan and i think it's highly likely so that's cancelled that out.
  14. Oliver back on form with some splendid rehashes today.
  15. Nixon's drivel: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/2008/07/16/exclusive-newcastle-to-sign-argentine-ace-pablo-aimar-89520-20645388/ and AS vis Babelfish:
  16. Christ, relegation's hit Reading hard, is that the best eye candy they can afford?
  17. "NEWCASTLE - Have made a £7 million offer for Pablo Aimar at Zaragoza. He has chosen the Toon over Portsmouth and Benfica with Sunderland also keen. Why is that of interest to Rovers? No idea. I'm just showing off." Thats all he has said about it as far as I know. He's posting on football365 forum under the name Ewood Geordie aswell. On their he says it's a done deal basically, and to expect an announcement soon. Like I say, it could just be nothing, but for a journalist to get a whole host of Newcastle fans excited (see the posts on the Football365 forum), and then for it to turn out to be nonsense would really hurt his reputation, especially as he posts on those boards all the time. That's not him on 365 mate, just someone else who's nicked his "info" to look ITK. If you look through that thread on BRFCS and the preceding ones, there are quite literally hundreds of occasions where he's been wrong but the Rovers fans lap it up regardless. He said Ten Cate was guaranteed Blackburn manager even after he'd been announced as Panathinaikos coach, he said Modric would still sign for us even after being unveiled as a Spur, he said Chimbonda to us was a done deal. He's a bullshitter, plain and simple. He works for two of the shittiest papers in this country - all you're finding out is what's on the back of either the Mirror or the People. Would you usually take them as gospel? We might sign Aimar but that's been a rumour all day since his agent's comments were put out. There's quite a few of us on here who've been giggling at Nicko for months. Believe nowt.
  18. "Aimar Toon Star" the back page of the Mirror apparently. Nicko's finest. Only 55p at your nearest newsagents.
  19. If you've only been introduced to him tonight, it's easy to think that. He's got about four of his own threads on that forum, each of them runs into many hundreds of pages after a week or two. You could probably count on one hand the stuff he's got right. Fair enough we might sign Aimar, but Nicko's reputation went down the plughole a long time ago. Where's he said 99.9% anyway?
  20. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtml?xml=/sport/2008/07/16/nosplit/sfnclub116.xml Transfers In: Jonas Gutierrez (Real Mallorca, £9m) Can you believe people get paid for this? I'm in the wrong line of work, me, along with most other people on here for that matter.

    Anton?

This would go just as well in the "Media hate NUFC" thread: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/ferdinand-the-latest-big-name-to-snub-newcastle-868588.html A shambles of an article full of lies, cheap digs and totally unfounded speculation.
