Hmmm, not sure. In the space of a week our midfield has improved a great deal, not to say that it's overly good, but we're not getting overrun. It' also good to see Keegan not playing the likes of Smith and Duff for the sake of it. I have to feel though that the return of Viduka has something to do with the improvement. I'm not a massive fan of him, especially his attitude, but you can't really argue his quality on the ball. Viduka was on Radio Newcastle before the game saying he tries not to watch football in his free time. Seems like he's not exactly that taken with his profession. Saturday Kitchen tbh

You beat me too it. Think it will be the same as last night. Barton clearly has the weight of being bummed stupid in nick written all over him, anyone one gets near him and he panics.. Geremi - no good on the right - better in the middle (marginally) if he has to play - just let some other fooker take the free kicks.. A gamble but I would go for Duff, Butt and Zoggy in the middle and keep it the same otherwise. At least they (Duff and Zog) can pass and put a ball in for the three up front. Seems pointless playing 4-3-3 otherwise with 3 players in the middle that cannot pass. Keegan saying Geremi was great scares the shite out of me. Thought Duke did ok last night all things considered. Not sure how the game will go - we should beat them, we must however score a goal early on and make it two quickly after that.

Firstly we are not too good to go down. Just look at our form. Based on that we will get one more point all season. That will ensure we are in the bottom three I am sure. We cannot rely on the supposed "worse teams below us" mentality - we will go down. Even if we do go down - could we be the next Leeds? No Ashley would actually make a loss if tried to sell us in the championship. Secondly, as other have said, we have no debt. I actually think a season in the championship would not be the end of the world. We would loose half the team that we would probably keep if we stayed up. Secondly, we would have the money to buy a very strong side (by Championship standards). Leeds as a comparison had no money and had to sell all their players. Maybe it would be a reality check for all - a year to change our expectation levels and then get back into the Premiership with a different mentality and hopefully a winning one at that. The next two months are certinaly not going to be much fun.

Don't see how this will be any easier than Liverpool. I suppose the only difference being the players might realise just how important this is - this game is a dreaded 6 pointer. They turned Spurs over and are a pretty physical side. I am not sure how our lightweight team will cope with that. Anyone that thinks Viduka should start or be on the bench ahead of Carroll should think again. At least the lad actually wants to play for the team and club. Realisation kicked in when I recently read that we are officially the worst team in all the leagues at the moment form wise. That really is fucking shocking.

No for me but its going to be cloase. Then again 2-4 wins, if we can achieve that, will ensure safety. How the fook did it come to this. For what started as one of the most exciting seasons ever, it will some how end up being one of the worst.
