Spain were the best team from start to finish and worthy winners. I ended up watching most of it, something I never thought I would have done - a very good competiton in the end.

That is a huge statement to make considering 1) there has been no (to my knowledge) confirmation from the club we ARE ACTUALLY after these players 2) even if we had bid before Euro 08, there is guarantee that the clubs would agree to the sale or that the players would have come here anyway - all the players in the tournament (that were thinking of moving) would be silly to move before a competition they can market themselves in. Now the competition is over and the window open, we can now start to be more critical of the club. If come the end of July, early August we have nothing, then "all is not right at the club" might be appropriate. As others have said MA has done alot already - to the tune of about £250m. I am sure he knows more than most we need players (and good ones at that) - no person is going to make that kind of investment and then let it go to pot (by lacl of further investment). I am glad we are keeping our business to ourselves - all this negative press about our budget could just be one clever smoke screen to keep the player costs down.

Just spent 15 mins with some twat trying to get me to stay - he offered a £5 a month for 6 months. Its not about the money, its about the fact they are utter wankers. Definately cancelling as requested to do do via mail. I questionned why there is NOTHING on the website about how to cancel (the word is mentioned once in FAQ) and why it took 15 mons to get this information - usual bullshit - site is being updated. Their actions smell of a company that might be strapped up to the hilt and desperate for all the money they can get.

My predictions is as follows: Euro 2008 Semi (Germany v's Turkey) = 25th of June (Turkey out IMO). Turan interest strongly followed up. Final on 29th (Germany v's Russia) = after final we are granted permission to speak to Arshavin Whether or not they come, who knows. July 1st, some action at last. As I said in a thread about a month ago, Euro2008 was always going to get in the way of quick deals, as of Monday I am sure it will speed up. The players involved will want future sorted followed by a well deserved holiday. Only 7 days to go!!!

The chants next season, assuming we keep him (and play like we did last season) at away games should be interesting at least!! Cannot see him playing for us again tbh.
