As much of a basket case, as we were when Ashley was in charge. Was talk yesterday of Tuchel being approached to go back.
-
Too 'white' for me and as for the back....... Not sure if I will bother.
-
Another good shift today.
-
Miserable auld bugger.
-
Great to see him back again today. The difference he makes to our midfield - power and physicality as well as coupling up with his international teammate, to drive us forwards. He's been a big miss.
-
MoM today. Our playmaker. Baller.

Brentford 2-4 Newcastle United (19/05/24) | Reaction: pg 36

Good win - we did what we had to. Some good peformances - Bruno ran the midfield - thought Big Jo tired as the game went on (understandably) Guess we will all be Man Citeh supporters, next Saturday then? -
He played as a right winger against us for Monaco, when he was a teenager. I think Sonny Anderson (ex Brazil) might have been in the same side.
-
He's apparently been playing with a knock for a long time, which is testament to his attitude and love for the club. That said, he's been found wanting on a good few occasions this season. Perhaps Eddie should have taken him out of the firing line more, but felt unable to? I'm far from a Longstaff hater - he''s a good squad option, but if the club is to progress - better players than him needed for the first XI.
-
He's been terrific all season and he seems like a really good lad too. Must admit, I wasn't fussed when he first signed, but he's one of the first names on the team sheet at the moment. And - he will only get better. Did really well tonight and as others have said, provided our only real threat - Isak unfit, IMO.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Anderson is still a young lad and may come good I thought he did OK tonight. -
If he and Howe have had a falling out, thank the lad for his services, but it's time to shift him on. Having pretty much only one fit striker (Isak) for the whole season has been a real issue and a mistake by the club. Needs addressing in the summer.
-
Good shift and a great goal tonight, from the young man. Defo can hold his head high.
-
Looked very rusty tonight - I expect he wouldn't have played, had Tino been fit. The injury curse this season has been almost never-ending.

Just not to be for us, tonight. Again - having Wilson available may have made a difference. Am not hopeful for a win on Sunday - 8ith with still be a good achievement given the luck and injuries we have had this season. No Europe next year may well end up turning out to be a blessing (if that's what happens) Thought Gordon, Bruno and Hall were our best players. Dubs looked really shakey all night - Longstaff had a night to forget and Miggy contributed next to nout when he came on. Plenty to think about. -

I wonder if we've seen the last of Wilson in a Newcastle top? Happy enough with the side, tonight. Howay the lads! -
Ederson up and ok by the look of it.
-
Arsenal supporters beside themselves now :-)
-
Shocking atmosphere - even though I know what the crauc is.

Apologies if Giggs; -
What a garbage and boring game.

6mins Fergie time

Expected a bit more from both sides here, if I'm honest. Being played like a pre-season knockabout.
