Remarkable strike from Zlatan for the 4th. As great a goal as I've ever seen (up there with Cisse v Chelsea, from last season) That said - Joe Hart has been shocking recently. Big time charlie, IMO.

Nile Ranger chucked about £3k into the puggy at the bookmaker's where my sister works, on Sunday night. She had to more-or-less throw him out as it was closing time. William Hill at Forrest Hall, btw.

Today's 'performance' has been coming for a while - simply not good enough, despite the huff and puff. Too much bloody long ball again and no tempo or quality. Then again, it's been like that since day one of the season. Manager needs to give his head a shake because how he has us playing at the moment (for percentages) isn't good enough.

Very poor first half - no spark or creativity once again. How often have we said that so far this season? Listless seems to be what we are at the moment, and we can do so much better. Pardew needs to get his finger out!

Would have settled for the point beforehand. Injuries obviously didn't help, but Pardew attempting to shut up shop at half time (as he did against WBA last week) seems to becoming something of a worry. No probs with Colo being sent off - done for intent, but bemused as to how Sterling got away with the hack and Cisse and kicking out at Simpson. Thought young Sammi had a really good cameo when he came on. Looks quick, direct, great feet and balance.

Could Anita not go into the middle with Cabaye and/or Perch? Shouldn't assume the lad is starting at fullback.

It's about time this Newcastle side stopped playing the fixture (and the history that comes with it) and remember that Liverpool aren't the powerhouse that they once were. That said, I still reckon we will roll over and lose 2-0. Think Pardew will be too concerned with stopping Liverpool than trying to win the game. Hope I am wrong though.
