  1. Let's forget about the damage it has caused the bid and the whether such damage for no benefit should play a part in whether to run a story. A personal conversation where the bloke is trying to impress a lass should be reported on regardless? How is that in anyones interest? The daily mail clearly cannot moderate themselves well enough, so it's great to see clubs like ours doing their small bit to nudge them and others away from this negative culture of sensationalist and damaging bullshit.
  2. Let's ask Jose Enrique again shall we. Jose, What's the gaffer like? “The training with the players is very different with him and I like him because his training sessions are so good. “I cannot believe how hard he works. “He seems to spend 24 hours every day at the club. “He is so dedicated to the job and gives his all. “He is thinking about the games all the time, watches the videos and is so thorough in his preparations. The players respect him so much.” Thanks, for clearing things up, sorry for having to drag up old articles. Cheers Jose.
  3. Down from 4 to 6 due to player confidence issues if the rumoured shirt is real.
  4. He's a one off like. Not a fan, but can't help but be impressed with the guy.
  5. Bollocks was it a home game debut, bollocks were there ever any protests, and I'll be buggered if Chopra isn't an "Asian British" [sic] success story.
  6. True. The arses who photoshopped that lovely design and the other beauties in this thread have unforgivably now damned us to never set eyes on the like in real life!
  7. I'm not sure I believe you. /70 pages worth of interest in the new kit. It's actually pretty impressive in a loony kind of way.
  8. Will be shaking with rage if we don't get the one with spazzy lopsided logos now that I've got used to it.
  9. Latest from Footballshirtculture. Hello, Just a quick word to put your minds at ease. I work for Puma. However, not in a production Factory. Im actually a marketing representative and work mostly on the continent. I like to check this site quite a lot as I am a lifelong football fan and ultimately, a bit of a Newcastle nut! I heard yesterday that the site had posted pictures of the new toon tops so i got a bit exciited as I hadn't seen them! So, from my hotel i logged straight on and checked them out. I was very dissapointed to see the home kit looking rather bland but for the other two, well i quite like them. The blue one especially is probably the most bright and punchy looking footer shirt I've seen for any Premier League team so far this season. Now...I'm going to put your mind at rest. I contacted a collegue who has contacts at the production factory in Asia. I waited a fair while for a response on the question but I asked him if he could check that the kits posted were the ones making final production. Well, they're not....not yet anyway. The tops you can see above are only three of eight. All are prototypes and no definite desision has been made on the final kits. I was notified that they had not started to produce any Newcastle tops yet, currently there are only the eight produced 3 of which you see above. There have been four home top prototypes made, and four away kit prototypes made. The white one above is an away kit option, not a third kit. The club badges, and sponsor have been ironed for money purposes only. Embrioding the kit badge and sponsor on a prototype just isnt viable so thats the reason we haven't done it. I have been advised that the collar is staying as is on above pictures however, one design does provide the Puma logo on the right hand side. There has also been a yellow, green and white away top prototyped. ..i have been informed. There may be changes so dont expect these kits to be final products. I would personally be happy for the blue away one mind. How'ay the lads....
  10. Both seem fine to play in, certainly better that a good deal of the mockups in this thread.
  11. He's stealing our losses.
  12. When they say 1. there'll be no capital outlay on players, the current squad will do next year 2. they won't be paying off the loans 3. They don't expect to break even for 5 years. At least one of those claims doesn't tally...unless they 're planning to be in the championship some of the time. Are there still not loans outstandind that are from parties other than Ashley?

  14. Would read again. Fascinating, insightful and heartfelt. A real page turner! AA+++
  15. NO Who will be then? Are we including target based bonuses or just base salary?
  16. Agree that the statement was less than reassuring, especially if we were looking for better news regarding the finances, but at least it does a job dampening down some of the more damaging speculation (even more so when you include the bizarre bonus 2nd statement). Tend to disagree. They are still keeping everyone 'guessing about monies available', and they have done the vast majority of their 'deals on the quiet' (looking at the agent centric section of the statement they will apparently continue to do their best to keep it that way too).
  17. Just staying up would be a failure for a winner.
  18. Tottenham are upwardly mobile I hear, try them. Mind your half a heed on the way out.
  19. Disco Stu! http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/8594/1860municherimadicokit.gif /Quick and dirty.
  20. The common sense you mention reads more like clutching at straws. Where does the statement categorically rule out the purchase of any new plaers what so ever? If anything there are more indications suggesting we will buy players than we won't. Anyway, time will tell. Irrespective of whether we're buying anyone or not. Do you think it's a well written statement that benefits the club overall? Does it bring clarity? Does it put an end to negative press? Does it improve relations with the fans? A 'no' on all counts then. Oh I agree it's a very poorly written statement. I just don't think there are grounds for panic yet. I was panicking before the statement. I've been holding my tongue on here for a few months since the consensus seemed to be "at least they're getting it right now, let's give them a chance". The statement only re-confirms what we all knew though, they're incompetent boobs. Incompetent boobs are still boobs. Not all boobs can be epic. http://www.motifake.com/image/demotivational-poster/small/0911/epic-boobs-epic-boobs-wall-demotivational-poster-1258585964.jpg /epic boob threadjack anyone?
  21. They should definitely just save the cash and rebadge the Addidas logo on the Solero away kit.
