Very good at Sunderland on loan though. Will do a good job in the first and gets forward well. Decent signing. Wasn't he good because he had Evans alongside him? Pretty certain Evans got the plaudits that season. At least it's a signing. Can't remember how many loans we're allowed at the same time, but I reckon we could end up making half of our team up out of them. Think we can play (inc bench) 5 at a time.

Wenger - I did see it Gunners boss admits he protected players http://img.skysports.com/09/07/218x298/Wenger2_2340288.jpg Wenger: Sees everything (and not a blind cunt) Arsene Wenger has admitted there have been occasions where he has strayed from the truth in a bid to protect his players. The Arsenal manager very rarely publicly criticises members of his own squad, preferring to gloss over controversial incidents by claiming he did not see what occurred. But the Frenchman has now confirmed that his supposed myopia is often due to the fact that he is unable to explain a player's actions. Asked if he had ever been economical with the truth, the Frenchman told the Daily Mail: "Yes, because you are thinking, 'Why has he (a player) done that?' and you know you cannot explain it. "At times I saw it, and I said I didn't to protect the player, because I could not find any rational explanation to defend him. "This is a job where you have to have an optimistic view of human nature or you become paranoid. You always have to think that a guy wants to do well. "A coach is there to help. He must think that if he helps in the correct way the players will respond. You cannot be suspicious." Connections Wenger also spoke about his long-term project at Arsenal and admitted he would have been "betraying his beliefs" if he had abandoned it to go and work for Real Madrid. "I want to go to the end of my job here. I built this team, I want to deliver with this team and I feel that if I left I would in some way have betrayed my beliefs," he said. "It is nothing to do with what Real Madrid have done. I just couldn't see leaving this team at this stage of their development." Wenger stressed the main objective for him is to create a coherent team, rather than to try and build a side around a handful of key individuals. "I believe in working in our job, creating connections between the players. I believe in what makes football great," Wenger said. "It is a team sport, a collective sport. You can win because you are more a team, or because you have more individual talent. What is interesting for me is the team ethic. "I love the Davis Cup, but I am not a big fan of individual tennis. It is when sport is about the team that I like it. I like the Ryder Cup." Has hell frozen over?

dot cum are a bunch of wankers. Why anyone believes anything they print over NUFC.blog is beyond me.

I highly doubt this, simply down to where that leaves me as a Newcastle fan. Selling the only academy player to have made it in a decade for a pittance fee; leaves me out of touch with the club (or the club out of touch with me) and I very much doubt I could go on supporting it. I really don't need the misery of this club any more, it's no good for the soul.

Not really a bet of £500 will do that to either betting sites.
-
He's not needed. Duff on the other hand is questionable, how many wingers have we got? Smith isn't a striker or a midfielder, not that we need his talents in either position. Get rid.

Is this a wind up? I'd want at least £9m

Shhh don't argue or he'll pull out his naked pictures of Bramble and show you why he rates him as a better defender than Maldini.

Some absolute mental shite flying around in this thread.

Plus he's got the most smackable face in footballing history. Even more so than Ronaldo.
-
BBC commentary for the season man.
-
Nope, i did hear one of them say 'and this is why he's so highly thought of by the Newcastle fans' when making a spectacular save. Commentators contradicting themselves?? Well I never. Probably the other is what im saying. There were two?

There is a decent player in there somewhere but he has no intention of bringing it out while at Newcastle. He'll move and be rejuvenated. In the meantime he's a massive liability and the clubs top earner. Get rid asap.
