Yup. This is what I said last year when this all came out. We have the plan now. The club knows what elite looks like. Of course if would be nice of him to be the one to implement it, but we have everything in place or know where to head. A succession plan for every key person in the business will be in place. Whether internal step ups, or external targets. The lists will be there, what a person needs to develop, and what support is required. I still find it mad to think he's leaving this to walk into the mad mess that is manure. The power struggles between ownership, those who still haunt the corridors, and the insane expectations. I think he'll live to regret it.

End of the day, Nickson has seen us at our worst, seen us transitioning, and now worked with someone who themselves commands £20m fees. The club have seen him in action from the start, and seen what Ashworth has brought to the table. If they've decided he's good enough for the step up, or move into a new role, then just accept it as a good move.

Think nufc have been ruffling feathers in the background for some time on ffp. Front end were staying within the limits, but behind the scenes were getting in people's ears, making statements on being unable to spend to keep the pressure on. Eventually ffp sees its day in court, and it'll lose massively.

Tensions are high here that he can't keep fit for more than 5 mins. Seems his lifestyle is more important than him seeing out his career. Fingers crossed someone is daft enough to offer money for him in the summer.

About fucking time. It's directly linked to ffp as well which is ruining the health of footballers having to be overworked. Everything needs to change.

Think these will drop like a stone now. Be more apathy than toxicity, till at least next season at least.

It's performances rather than position. It breeds confidence and feel good. All that's out the window atm. If we're performing well with an optimistic future, then that'll be enough. We've seen he can ride a wave, this is the test of coming back from the crash. He couldn't turn it around at Bournemouth and looked spent. He's not there with us, he's still fighting, but his team doesn't look interested, with zero organisation. Also, sometimes a manager just stops working for a team, leaves and goes on to do well somewhere else. Sometimes clubs and them need a change as do the players. I don't know what the answer is, no one can really say why everything has fell apart so quickly, and no one can safely say he can turn it around or when he'll get it all back on track. We have to remember this is the highest he's been. 1 season of Europe, no trophies. It's all new territory with him, but I expected him to learn on the job, but it's just getting worse. I'm glad we beat the mackems. I said it's the only thing I wanted this season and he can do what he wants and I'm still there, it's just sad now this is still going on and I'm still seeing fatigue from 6 games being used as an excuse.

If we repeat this seasons performances and we're halfway through then he'll be rightly jettisoned, especially if we're highly active in the transfer market. I wouldn't be surprised if the PIF side are already putting pressure on to source options.

If thars it then ruining a young lads career is a dick move.
