I know signing decent players takes time, more than picking up the scraps like we're usually used to, but I'd like to see us move on to other positions if we're not ready yet to move on to other targets. I get they want their no1 targets in. They've worked hard on those deals and it seems many forces are working against them, so I have no issue with them sticking to their guns. But I do hope they can start progressing bids for other areas in the team. It may be happening in the background, but chatter seems to be were ultra focused on these 2 signings and everything else is secondary. I'm sure it'll all come together, if not Botman and Ekiteke then another 2 very good options, I just hope they don't miss other targets in other potions whilst their focus and time is being drained by agents and club shinanigans.

BTW if a keeper starts passing it out of defence and his team is setup for the long distribution then ges getting dropped or the ball is coming back at him from defenders not comfortable on the ball. Same goes the other way. A keepers distribution is very tactical and not personal.

Generally depends on how quick the forward can change their feet position. He'll be up against seasoned PL strikers, he needs anticipation if he hasn't got recovery. Slide tackle is very Steven Taylor, who had to make them all the time due to lack of awareness and positioning. I'm not too fussed on Botman tbh. Think there are better options out there but if we get him then I'm sure we'll work on his flaws. Totally agree with @Tsunami BTW. And from what we've seen and read this is exactly whst kind of player he is. Can he adapt and up his game?
