Seeing reports of PSG offering Kolo Muani, Asensio and Gonçalo Ramos for Isak Dont believe it personally but I wouldn’t be against it on the right terms i.e. plus £50m and heavily subsidised wages - would really strengthen the squad and allow us to strengthen further

Unless he lucks out an appeal
-
Felt for a while he’s a good player but bad fit for the team, we’ll be better without him
-
I do think he needs a game or two off, he’s tired
-
He has now just laid off all canteen staff except the player chefs. Staff can have one piece of fruit.

I still love Shola. Our best ever penalty taker. Scoring vs Barcelona in the CL. Souness basically destroyed his body, if Shola had been looked after at that stage of his career he’d have gone on to be our third best PL era striker, I am certain of it.

This has always been Wilson. The team have just progressed and he’s stood still / got less fit. i think he’d be a good fit for Arsenal who need 2-3 strikers.

The Schar as a DM experiment never took off so let’s try playing him in goal

Let’s let off the stress with a quick quiz https://newcastle-online.org/topic/38355-this-reverse-sheep-quiz-changes-everything-deadline-25225-12pm-gmt/#comment-8348705

Kath is our version of the tea lady. Not even Ashley touched the tea lady
-
And it was a completely different manager

He’s been good all three full seasons under Howe albeit much of that as a trusted squad player. Since December he has been excellent. if you look at his career stats, nearly every time he started over 30 games in a season he has produced very good numbers.

Never wanted a team to win so badly
-
that’s how FFP works though, the fact that they sold Duran and Douglas Luiz for huge sums has allowed them to spend on multiple players, just like we would be able to if we sold Isak, Gordon or Bruno
-
He was basically effective stand-in for Botman and Lascelles until they came back, he served that role well imo.

It’s likely a complete myth that a sale would benefit PSR. free transfers typically get a normal basic wage but a very high signing on fee, probably £5-10m in Kelly’s case - but the model of the signing on fee changed many years ago, it is nowadays a loyalty fee spread over the course of the contract. BUT If we sell we have to pay the loyalty fee off in full. So if it’s £10m and we sell for £5m we have actually made a £5m loss. the only way around this is for Kelly to submit a written transfer request. I doubt we will entertain a sale unless he does this.
-
it is clear from Howe’s quotes on this that Howe supports the decision to sell him. we can always play Joelinton, Osula, Hall or Livramento on the wing if really pushed.

that player already exists he is called Jacob Murphy

you are kind of right it was reported a few months later that Atlanta actually received £16m + some rather dubious performance linked bonuses e.g. if we qualified for the Champions League. that way we were able to say we broke our record when actually we didn’t.

Who was the knacker who called Kluivert really poor in the pre-match thread? Its all their fault.
