While I think we can all agree that we wouldn't have a happy future under Ashley I would say that there have been plenty of takeovers by much worse owners. Ashley is a very middling, albeit dislikeable owner. So you don't need to be spectacularly shite to be worse!

I'm expecting two things to happen that Ashley hasn't done but any new savvy owner potentially will. 1. Increase season ticket prices, not just small amounts but to actually catch up on several years of price freezes. 2. Build more corporate boxes, kicking regular fans out in the process. I thought with exception of Elliott every player showed they had some quality for at least part of the game and that bodes well for the remainder of the season. We would have 10 points more this season if Rafa got backed with the goalkeeper for the transfer market. Regardless we would have at least drawn this if we hadn't had the bad luck of this being Pogba's return match.
