  1. My wife is having Tapas with Juan Mata now. Is she about to take over Man Utd?
  2. I have a hunch that Ashley’s wife is more keen to sell than he is. The deal will get done.
  3. Always love when Ryder realises he’s missed the big story. The desperation in those tweets

    Steve McClaren

I have encountered three famous people on an economy flight before. I can therefore grade McClaren on a scale of celebrities on economy flight wankery. David Moyes - took all the abuse in a Spain to Manchester flight well. Ken Clarke MP - asked me to turn the sound off on my Gameboy and let his copy of the FT flutter on my side of the arm rest. Steve McClaren Will.i.am - booked the first eight rows on a flight from Manchester to Düsseldorf filling front three with mates. Made the plane late because he wouldn’t board until everyone else did. Stewardess put us in row 8 because we were at risk of missing connecting flight. After takeoff Will.I.Am demands we are moved. When plane lands a group of his mates deliberately blocks the aisles so he can leave swiftly and no one else can. To be fair to Lufthansa the pilot heard of what happened and radioed ahead and not only was our connecting flight held for us, but we were given upgraded seats by way of apology.
  5. If everyone appoints a never been relegated manager, that record won’t hold for some!
  6. I thought he wanted to give up football to enjoy family life and stop his wife divorcing him. He will see Everton as his last chance at a big club. Will be funny to see who he over pays for on Usamov’s cheque book in January.
  7. If we get a new stadium I hope we do something distinctive rather than an identikit stadium. Maybe the New Castle stadium. An actual castle with drawbridges and a moat and Gallows. Also a roof to trap in the noise.
  8. I wonder if Mort ever found his socks again after they blew off
  9. While I think we can all agree that we wouldn't have a happy future under Ashley I would say that there have been plenty of takeovers by much worse owners. Ashley is a very middling, albeit dislikeable owner. So you don't need to be spectacularly shite to be worse!
  10. I'm expecting two things to happen that Ashley hasn't done but any new savvy owner potentially will. 1. Increase season ticket prices, not just small amounts but to actually catch up on several years of price freezes. 2. Build more corporate boxes, kicking regular fans out in the process. This won't be popular
  11. I thought with exception of Elliott every player showed they had some quality for at least part of the game and that bodes well for the remainder of the season. We would have 10 points more this season if Rafa got backed with the goalkeeper for the transfer market. Regardless we would have at least drawn this if we hadn't had the bad luck of this being Pogba's return match.
  12. Shelvey and Hayden have played well today
  13. We outperformed them in the first half, but they had more quality and delivered the sucker punch in first half injury time. Any team in that position is at risk of getting routed second half. At least we tried to equalise rather than trying to minimise defeat.
  14. Breaking news, helicopter crash https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-42024712 Doesn't Ashley have his helicopter here?

    The Coaching Staff

Very poorly drawn up - Curtis Good ffs. We've done alright with injuries last two seasons.
  16. It's not just Mourinho singling him out though. He is currently physically in an absolute state and performing appallingly for the U23s according to local accounts in the Manchester press. There are also several accounts of his inability to learn and improve. He is a pure waster. Two very good managers and he hasn't listened to them. Why would he follow Rafa? It won't happen because Rafa knows all this and would prefer to manage Dummett and use the money elsewhere if it came to a straight choice. I'm sure Rafa will look at left backs if he has funds but it won't be Shaw for sure.
  17. If we sign Shaw he thinks he has made it, he can't follow managers instructions and he hasn't been looking after himself physically. Dummett will displace him from the team within 6 months
  18. Shaw should be avoided like the plague. Imagine a cross between the worst parts of Michael Owen and Celestine Babayaro. That is Shaw
