Who is the Sibierski of 2023?
-
We made a mistake selling Wood in my view. as we have goals all over the team we don’t need striker 3 to be be superb, just a body either with top league experience or with great potential.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)
James replied to Marko NUFC's topic in Football
Im in favour of having a good go at Europa, I think our group of death has been a big problem in how it has restricted us in rotating the squad and to stop this happening in future seasons we need to build up our coefficient. -
Still the right call to ease him in after his ACL
-
Don’t understand how we have two player out with a lower back stress fracture
-
didn’t Ritchie just start our demolition of Man Utd. add in the ex-club facto and he’d be fine for Bournemouth.
-
Dont ever remember him defending Mike Ashley. Plus there have been many accounts of him protecting some of the younger players from the worst of Steve Bruce.
-
the Athletic explained this. We can only dock six weeks of wages. Beyond that the provisions in his contract would allow us to sack him, but we aren’t allowed to hold his registration and suspend his pay.
-
this type of contract provision has effectively been banned by the unions. Maximum fine is six weeks wages
-
United forever Whatever the weather Less than a hundred percent? Never!
-
Wish people would stop calling him a left back out of position at centre back. his whole career he has clearly been a centre back playing out of position at left back
-
Andy Cole you’re Outstanding

Actually I think we’ve done well to have this many players out but still be able to deliver a strong first XI. My main concern is up front as with game intensive periods there is too much to ask from one striker if the other is injured. I don’t think it is ideal to potentially now have to play Gordon or Joelinton up top, not a great fit and further weakens our depleted midfield. I think we will regret selling Wood more than we regretted selling ASM. We need a cheap workhorse as our third choice striker.

Glandular fever is so unpredictable so Miley could be back next week, or he could be out for the season

One of the weakest subs bench’s I have ever seen us with. completely inadvertent, but still…

Yikes

Anderson is trapped in the Phantom Zone Worrying

It is a common misconception that he won’t get paid. as pointed out by the Athletic, Toney continues to receive full salary, and even if he is banned for three years, the maximum pay the club can deduct is six weeks as per current playing contract regulations.
-
So Tonali brought U21 players into an illegal underworld of loan sharks threatening to break their legs, and we want to continue to allow him to be near Lewis Miley???
-
2 years, including 1 suspended, however more stuff will come out and he’ll never play again.
-
We are being overly focused about Tonali’s illness as we defend him but we forget a key part of the evidence against him - testimonies from other players that he was acting as an enabler, making it possible for other young Italian players to access illegal gambling platforms. what is known is only from a few testimonies to date. Might well only be the tip of the iceberg. we can not have him near our young players. He has to be terminated.
-
this is why employers have a right to terminate staff if they fail to disclose something at an interview that will materially impact their ability to conduct their job.
-
Authorities have their own rules and Tonali would have been aware of the possible consequences of his actions at the time he committed his offence and at the time he signed his contract with us. He has shafted us.
-
Even if he gets a 3 year ban we are only allowed to dock his salary for six weeks…. Or sack him
-
If I recall Toney was a pattern of ill advised bets through legitimate platforms as a lower league player which crucially stopped at a point in time when his career was on the up. From the reports I have read Tonali was using illegal platforms whilst playing for AC Milan. He then allows a £55m transfer to go ahead. He has basically blown our £60m windfall for Champions League qualification for the sake of greed. He actually arrogantly shits in the face of Howe and the whole playing squad who worked so hard to get us to where we are now. How can he look any of them in the eye? not only has he blown our Champions League money but he has lost all professional credibility and therefore he will never again manage to secure a transfer fee if even a quarter of what we paid. So unlike Toney, he is an odious and deceitful individual who has cost a significantly. We should make him pay andI hope he spends the rest of his life out of football and on the breadline.
