  1. Jealous I wasn't there to witness it tbh.

Insane Bollocks Man? That must be the other one in the 'we', and his source. Have you ever played for Newcastle United youth team? Ed did so don't diss him.
  3. Dyer and Bellamy were the explosive influence that cleared up space for Robert, Solano, and Shearer to be at their most potent. People talk in cliched terms about teams being one dimensional, but we were genuinely 4 or 5 dimensional back then.

More leaders the better shows they want to stand up and be counted.

    This thread needs a quick snap poll Less than 20 pages, 21-25 26-30 31-40 41-50 51-60 61-70 etc

I would take James over Harper every day.

Not saying he isn't good enough, just we'd have to wait until 2011/2012 to actually get him in form. If we are patient. And if we are still in the top division.

    Dan Gosling

Not a good move for Newcastle, Gosling or Everton. He's injured with a bad knee injury and even if he manages to come back as good as before, he'll struggle for form this season. Newcastle fans are an unforgiving bunch, and as soon as he's fit, he'll be expected to slot right into the team straight away, and when he doesn't he'll be written off as shite.
  9. Well done Banana Republic (Nate?) for overcoming Lousy Team in the final round to win our league. I was 8th, 9365 out of 907343 isn't bad at all!
  10. Why are we talking about reception? Didn't realise BT still did mobile phones.
  11. Anyone just see Avram Grant dressed up as the Emperor from Star Wars?
  12. He is currently also on billboards all around Portugal. No Cristiano Ronaldo here, it is all Michael Owen and his Tissot watches and Uma Thurman and her Alfa Romeo.

I'm ambitious, driven, motivated. Hey Chris sign me!
  14. Dave give your pessimism a rest "We're not signing anyone" "We're not signing anyone" "We're not signing anyone" "We're not signing anyone" "We're not signing anyone" "We're not signing anyone" "We're not signing anyone" "We're not signing anyone" "We're not signing anyone" "We're not signing anyone" Newcastle United sign James Perch "We're not signing anyone else" "We're not signing anyone else" "We're not signing anyone else" "We're not signing anyone else" "We're not signing anyone else" "We're not signing anyone else"
  15. I think several African clubs have the potential to do it but they need to build up their coaches and organisation. They are at the stage where the missionaries visited South America at the moment, and it did take a few decades for South America to develop. Many teams can do it though, they just need to find their once in a lifetime player, e.g. Puskas and Hungary.
  16. Player finds a legal loophole out of his contract.
  17. Can't see Sullivan and Gold approving that. We've got Gosling IMO, transfer has echoes of Jonas about it.

Also, I suspect we let the Jloyd Samuel link play out to drive the price for Perch down.

Always knew it wouldn't be to the extent that others were making out. Chris Hughton got his man, but is it the right man? Only next season will tell.
  20. Huh? Really? Well I dont see how supporting a football club has to come exclusively ahead of all other sporting success. Obviously I've picked an example which people can't relate to as its a sport pretty much 5 people are into on the whole forum, and of course there are many who understandably have Newcastle as their number one love, but just to give another example would anyone rather Murray won Wimbledon than Newcastle qualified for the UEFA Cup?
  21. Is there any non-football sporting success that you'd celebrate over Newcastle success? For example, I'd rather a British rider won the Tour de France than Newcastle won the League Cup.
  22. 85 points almost out of nowhere for me in this round. Very happy with that considering where I was at yesterday (19 points from 7 players)
  23. I think alpal has succintly put it how I would like to see it in the rule book. A few people have very fairly asked why we are only mentioning it now, and not when other players have handled on the line. Quite simply, the incident is the first one to highlight the injustice, and has put the idea fresh in people's minds. I can't see how any team could complain about the rule being enforced against them if beyond reasonable doubt. This is not too radical in my opinion, we will see it happen once a year maximum.
  24. Would have to be beyond doubt that it was going in.
