  1. It's not on anywhere, welcome to the championship. You'll have to buy Newcastle World off the official website so you've got your subscription for the next game.
  2. No offence, but us lot were asking for something similar, and a lot of Liverpool fans called us deluded for wanting it.
  3. Could be Martin O'Neill in my opinion.

NUSC's Official Line: We have had initial discussions with a number of parties and we can confirm Fanbase are one of those. Their idea is certainly innovative and puts the aim of genuine supporter representation at the centre of its model. We are willing to continue discussions after they have spoken to Mr. Llambias and Seymour Pierce and we will put this to our members if the bid is credible in due course.

That may be their unofficial line, but it is their official line on their webpage, ie the one the press and the board will read that concerns me.

Oh no, they won't do that. They'll have their eye on a seat on the boardroom table and wont alienate themselves just in case Fanbase manages to pull it off. Who cares that the transfer window would shut without things getting sorted? Who cares that this group will probably not have a penny between them if they got the club? Who cares that they probably haven't done due dilligence given that he hasn't spoken to Harris? It'll all be alright, as NUSC are on the Board

Absolute shambles from NUSC. Bring back Frank Gilmour. At least there was no illusion then that he wasn't just speaking for himself.

Don't worry, the Chronicle will say the opposite anyway so that they can guarantee that someone in Thompson House was right.

It was that guy on SSN earlier who wants to turn us into Barcelona by getting us lot to fork out, only he hasn't a penny to his name, and hasn't spoken to Harris, SP, Llambias or Ashley.

I just phoned. Alan Shearer picked the phone up, said "no I'm not here" then hung up on me!

Just rang the pub and they cant confirm or deny theres a barry or alan drinking there! Fucking hell, canny hush-hush this. Of course, they want people to come to the pub, buy a drink and find that they aren't there!
  14. There is an American who has an Israeli friend who is a big fan of the SJP club. Now this American saw the trouble we were in so decided to buy the club and help us out. He plans to spend lots of money, but also get involved in training by teaching the players a new skill move where you are going backwards but it looks like you are going forwards. Anyhow, he has had to make billions to buy us by faking his own death. Only trouble is is that he's helping the wrong club by mistake and hasn't realised yet. We should all be entertained though. Except Blefuscu.
  15. Are you the same Macca who had a farm?

It's like groundhog day with you and giving people the benefit of the doubt. What can I say, I'm a trusting person!

Just had a look at Macca888, he's never done anything like this before, his defence is consistent with his previous posts, he's been a Toon fan since 1962, and generally post serious stuff on the old days which is usually quite lengthy. Compared to the other ITK's Macca888 seems the most trustworty thus far, so I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt here.

  20. What probably does make it difficult for the black managers at the higher levels is how appointments tend to be made at this level. Looking at the Premier League managers from this season and last season, you've got: Long established managers from 20th Century - Ferguson, Keegan, Redknapp, Hodgson, O'Neill, Curbishley Foreign Contingent - Wenger, Benitez, Ancelotti, Hiddink, Scolari, Ramos Established Premier League Journeymen - Allardyce, Bruce, McCarthy, Hughes Spotted in the lower leagues - Moyes, Martinez, Ince Promoted from lower leagues - Brown, Mowbray, Pulis, Coyle, McLeish Big name, first job - Shearer, Keane, Southgate, Adams, Zola Caretaker getting the gig - Sbragia, Hart, Hughton, Kinnear So basically at least eleven managers were already obvious choices based on their track record. Keane aside, Shearer, Southgate and Adams were obvious newcomer appointments, as were three of the four caretaker ones. It is the fresh supply of newer managers in the Allardyce, Moyes and Brown groups which is questionable. Ince aside, who probably got the initial opportunity based on his playing career, they are all white. So the question really is: why aren't black managers getting jobs in the Championship? Perhaps it has something to do with how these clubs think a manager should be, i.e. a typical British bulldog, captain type, shouter, for this seems to very much be the white stereotype in the lower leagues.
