  1. BBC Sport understand that they will get permission. Rightly so, as the rules are there and have been used by other clubs in the past, both in the PL and the lower leagues. There is nothing stopping other clubs doing the same should they be in the same situation. The rule is a good one. There is only one place in the team for a goalkeeper and is a specialised position that can't be fulfilled by playing someone else out of position. Without the insurance of an emergency loan, certain clubs, particularly the rich ones will stockpile keepers, the result being a keeper that could be perfectly good for someone else is left to rot on a large contract. For example, Joe Hart may not have got that crucial loan to Birmingham that could one day benefit England. Spurs and Villa can moan all they want, but the rule is there for them as much as it is for City, and I wouldn't call any scenario involving a club losing their best two keepers an advantage. These clubs are going to be better off with the better matchwinners between the sticks. Liverpool can't moan as they've used the emergency loan before.
  2. This. There is a provision in the rules, its been implemented before.
  3. One thing really that stopped us being a better team last season: Joe Kinnear
  4. stuart taylors knackered too hence why they're looking for an emergency loan. Personally i think there should be a rule for gk emergency loan anyway I think there is one. Liverpool got Paul Jones in similar circumstances and he was Southampton's number one at that time.
  5. Stuart Taylor is injured as well.
  6. What are the odds for Steve Harper?
  7. O'Hara (I know), Boateng and Zayatte. None of the others are improvements on what we already have.

Who the fuck is the guy top left in the second picture?
  10. A new season is a new start for everyone. This season has very little bearing on what will happen the next.

Type in "Newcastle" on the editorial section of Getty Images and see who is to blame for our title.
  13. at the moment the BBC look like finishing reading the scores first. Hopefully something after that.
  14. Nicky Butt: Club Statement An assist activates a clause giving a ten-year contract extension. He's staying.
  15. my sister in law drove around in her car for 5 years before finally taking a test and passing. Just for consistency: You should report her.
  16. Beautiful words Chris, you are a great man, just like Bobby was.
  17. Season almost over, pretty much is for us already, time for some World cup build up methinks. Here is the BBC lineup: Presenters: Gary Lineker Colin Murray Pundits: Alan Hansen Alan Shearer Clarence Seedorf Jurgen Klinnsman Lee Dixon Emmanuel Adebayor Gordon Strachan Co-commentators: Lawrenson Bright Mick McCarthy Keown Radio: Graham Taylor David Moyes Danny Mills Chris Waddle Robbie Savage
  18. I know two twins that did it with success. Then you should report them. It was like 3 years ago. Doesn't matter how long ago it was, there is someone on the roads who isn't qualified to drive and his insurance is invalid. What if he killed someone? Could you live with the fact that you could have stopped it? How would you feel if an unqualified driver knocked down a family member?

Now lets sue Preston for tapping up our star midfielder.
  21. Any Barca strikers, midfielders, right backs aged 20-22 not going to get the Barca team, but could be good in the PL either as a loan or a reasonable permanent deal? In other words of Enrique's ability.
  22. Also arch-rival's Exeter's star striker Adam Stansfield has bowel cancer at only 31 and Plymouth fans have got actively involved in fund raising. Fans in the south west aren't really fanatic about their home clubs like you see in other places though, a lot of people at Home Park will have a second club who they'd say they support, then go and watch the big Exeter/Plymouth games when the stakes are high. Newcastle is a popular second club in the region.
  23. Thank you Mr. Hughton. Now stop giving all the praise to your group of lads and give yourself some credit for a change. And then be yourself again.
