  1. We only really have Barton, Guthrie, and Nolan in there ahead of Butt. That's only three players. I'd prefer around 12. Don't forget Gezza.
  2. Just when you think the silly sausage could not get any sillier.

    Kinnear Out

there have been plenty of names suggested. Have you bothered to read it all?
  4. We are essentially being forced to give over 50% of Given's estimated transfer fee to keep a 35 year old Nicky Butt at the club next season. If we stay up, he's not good enough, if we go down it is a crippling waste of resources when we should give youth a chance.
  5. Lost all respect for him today though, seeing how it would appear that he's decided to dig deep and pocket his £3m.
  6. http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/staticFiles/4e/24/0,,10278~140366,00.pdf Could be an interesting way for unhappy people to contact the club in their numbers if co-ordinated.

    The Arshavin Deal

Rumour has it that they submitted all the paperwork to the FA before the deadline yesterday. Although, if that were the case, it wouldn't have taken them so long to announce it. The condition yesterday was that a deal had to be all agreed and they had to prove the weather was the problem. He was already in fucking London. He was supposed to have flown back.
  8. he's a PL player, he's said so himself. that said can see teams in europe going for him in the summer. not sure if they will get him, but i can see them trying. you know kinnear does that james? are you at the training ground 5 days a week? we're completely impotent because we have martins and owen out injured. attacking movement wasn't bad vs the mackems, we just couldn't get shola or andy to move their lanky arses into any sort of space. i'm not defending kinnear here btw, he's the worst manager i've ever seen both in a tactical sense and in a "what a cunt" sense. Kinnear has said that's what he does.
  9. It's a good thing that our 5th best central midfielder is starting and picking up £3m next year regardless of the division we are in?
  10. Like I said, this has nothing to do with Ashley. Butt's contract entitled him to another year if he wanted it.
  11. I think this is what we are seeing with some people actually wanting to get relegated. People think they can care more about a younger, more enthusiastic team. Without Kinnear and Ashley. Too big a risk, even though I reckon this route could be profitable. Like backing No. 7 on the roulette.

    Alan Smith

If we want a target man, we've got Xisco, and Carroll and Shola who have all shown more about them.
  13. Would you want to be here if you had been guaranteed £3m to play as a 35-year old no matter what? Perhaps this is where the net transfer profit of £3m since Ashley has been here has gone? did'nt MA say he would release some statement after the transfer window shut? Well this was out of Ashley's hands. It was a binding contract that was agreed with whoever negotiated the last contract (Shepherd iirc) I don't get that though. If he was always entitled to this, why would he need to sign it? Why wouldn't it just be part of the original contract? It's classed as an extension - surely we offered that to him rather than him being entitled to it? Like Kinnear said 19 games meant that Butt was entitled to a further year. So basically we said, if you are fit enough and good enough to start at 34, you can have another year. I'd imagine the premature offer we provided in December was some attempt to cut his wage and avoid the inevitable.

  16. Just got to pray that there aren't any other clauses.
  17. Having secured his estimated £3m retirement fund.
  18. Funny how this is pretty much the only player to avoid an injury. Three possibilities. Now the money grabbing bastard has secured his £3m payday he'll start playing with more effort as there is no worry of being injured. Or alternatively, he'll suddenly injure much more easily than the rest of them now the £3m is in the bank. Or perhaps he's just honest and shit, and willing to put money ahead of ambition, knowing that we could well be relegated.
  19. http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/football/3974597.Butt_accepts_Kinnear___s_offer_to_extend_contract/ So basically there was nothing the club could have done about this one. I'd imagine wage is the same or better, and it's better money than he'd get anywhere else.
  20. Thinking about it, I think there was a clause that said he had to get the extension if he played so many games. Although Kinnear might be happy about it and Butt clearly wants to stay, this is sadistically enough a remnant of the Shephered regime
  21. I remember when he was playing for Keegan. Attacking movement was exceptional throughout the team, which allowed Jonas to get involved in some really good passing moves, and he could run the full length of the pitch. This doesn't happen anymore, because Kinnear spends four days out of five coacching defending. Hence we are completely impotent. Kinnear Out!
  22. At least when we go down, we can sell him for £500k to some fool so Ashley can bid £100k for Fabian Delph.
  23. So that's what they were up to yesterday. They can all fuck off.
  24. For me it would be 1. Ketsbaia 2. Martinez 3. Bruce
