  1. Brilliant. If we had played to 75% of that level in most of our other games, we would be top 6 easily. Given 7 Beye 8 Taylor 7 Rozehnal 5 N'Zogbia 6 Geremi 6.5 Butt 6.5 Barton 7 Milner 6.5 Martins 6 Smith 9
  2. This performance by Smith is the end for Shola in my opinion.
  3. I thought you came on here quite regularly? Aye, there is only one person on here who likes Geremi - the guy who has given Cacapa a comedy Christmas beard on his avatar. I didn't realize every fan came on the forum. No, but there are enough members to provide a fair sample of the population.

  5. Hopefully this will be the end of N'Zogbia at left back - even though the goal shouldn't have counted. We are playing well though, especially Smith. The game plan today is very good. Very positive. We could yet nick something if we come out the same way in the second half.
  6. The only time we have played Arsenal on 5th December, we won 4-1.
  7. I think they were just practising set pieces, with players wearing red to make our players look out for Red shirts tonight.
  8. Nothing can be interpreted with red bibs. Or yellow bibs. It's orange or bust. They are on to me though - first they took their training pics on Thursday instead of Friday, and now this! Tut.
  9. Irrelevant as Bale is better . Clichy is miles better at left back.
  10. Nani's performances haven't been a patch on Young's this season imo. Agreed, but you can't put a 22 year old in an U21 team, otherwise why not also include Ronaldo, Clichy and Carson?
  11. Corluka is only 21? Thought he was mid-twenties. Certainly goes in ahead of Onuoha then. Shame on other people for saying that Young ins U21. He is out and Nani is back in.
  12. I forgot about Young, he should be in there instead of Nani. Taylor is there more because of the lack of good young defenders in England.
  13. A slight variation of the usual thread, who are the best youngsters out there in the league? I'd say: Hart Onuoha Richards Taylor Bale Nani Fabregas Denilson Babel Walcott Derbyshire
  14. How do you know Viduka and Milner are nice guys?! Viduka comes across that way from his World interviews, plus there is the famous Enrique translator story. Milner has always been described as a proffessional. never heard a bad word about him.
  15. I would have thought that it would be on the BBC iPlayer.
  16. Geremi is captain so its only natural he leads the committee, besides he is the only person who can bring the views of some of the new foreigners to the table. Viduka is a very approachable level headed guy who puts in a lot of effort behind the scenes at the club. Milner is a good professional, talks a lot of sense and can represent the younger players, and has probably experienced more than any other 21 year old footballer. For me, the only question regarding the committee is why are both Given and Harper both on the committee, as from the outside, both appear to read off pretty much the same hymn sheet. I can get having one of them but having both of them just creates an unnecessary block vote. [/parody of myself]
  17. Yorkie, you do realise that the game is tomorrow don't you?
  18. I get the feeling that there is someone out there with an agenda, be it a player, an agent, a member of the press, a past player, or anyone who has an interest in either Newcastle or England. The agenda of course is to get Shearer into the Newcastle hotseat.
  19. We could all vote for someone really improbable as best poster invicta perhaps?
  20. If it is the likes of Given, this must be about much more than tactics, after all, him and Harper never complained about the tactical ineptitude of the last two managers. As I see it, some senior players have been left in their own comfort zone for way too long, and now that Allardyce is trying to get them out of it, they are resisting it. Jaaskelainen seeems more and more appealing with each passing day.
  21. The Sun are claiming that three players are revolting, and two are Given and Harper.
  22. Jose actually does have a small soft spot for us actually, but I'd rather we stuck with Sam unless we really paddle down shit creek.
  23. For the first time this season I am disappointed with a defeat because we deserved more and not because we deserved it.
