If they go down they could probably actually do with keeping some of the players who's contracts are up. The likes of Bardsley, Gardener, Larsson would surely be important players in that league.

It seems people seem to be convinced they'll stay up because the teams around them are so bad and keep getting beat. Sunderland are below them teams because they are even worse, and they're dropping every opportunity against the teams around them. If anything, these 'winnable home games' people keep going on about are more winnable for the away teams. Take away them two derbies man and they're absolute rock bottom. They might even finish bottom still. I don't think they will, but for me they will not beat West Ham, West Brom or Swansea at home.
  3. Ok fair enough. Needs to get back to his best Santon quickly, he's been running my patience thin for a while now.
  4. Santon like Cafu compared to Dummett? Maybe if you're comparing them at the best of their ability, Santon has been average to shit for me for a while now. He doesn't deserve to start in my opinion.

Just looked and I think Palace and West Brom will get to 35 points. The thing is, you can see Palace grinding out some results despite how shit they are. Sunderland just look fucked. They can't beat Palace at home, Norwich and these are massive games where they need to win. They won't get a point against any of the top half teams for me. The only team I would sway towards them winning is Cardiff at home.

Really can't see 34 being enough. I don't think Sunderland will even get to that mind.

I reckon they'll get beat of West Ham in a disgusting scrappy match. Today has made me 95% sure they're going down in my mind.

I don't see how people are saying only 3 wins. They're on 25 points, 34 will not be enough. Assuming the 3 wins come at home, where do these draws come from?
  9. Fucking love Rob Lee. You can tell how much he loves the club in his write ups in the local rags as well.
  10. Pretty much certain our match on the final day will be on Sky. Can see Liverpool being right up there on the last day and Sky love this fixture.
  11. Not sure this result will have much impact on the mackems. Even if we get beat I think Fulham have fucked themselves by not beating Cardiff. Really can't see them getting a good enough amount of points on the board from where they are now. Surely 18th spot is going to be between Sunderland, West Brom and Palace. If Palace beat them this week then they'll be fine. I would be massively surprised if Cardiff can get a run going together.

Hendo is the only mackem getting near a Wembo pitch again this year
  13. They're all very beatable if we actually gave a fuck. Even Arsenal are beatable. Not under this regime though.

I just can't stop laughing in my head at how its all panned out. Can you imagine how unbearable the fuckers would have been tonight if they were a win against Sheffield United away from europe, a 3rd trip to Wembley, and a very good chance of winning the cup? They would have been utter cunts, what an opportunity Poyet and his players have fucked up for them

What is it with the names they have for things/players man? Wembo, Bardo etc
  16. Some matches this weekend that could have a big influence at the bottom. Cardiff v Fulham, Palace v Southampton and Norwich v Stoke. West Brom also have Man United at home which they could get a result but they do look shite at the minute. We could have a big say in all of this as well, our next two fixtures being Fulham and Palace.

  18. 3 for me. Leeds away 4-3 in 01/02 (amazing day), Blackburn away 06/07 and Wigan away (10/11?)

    Paul Dummett

Dummett has played two games and we've won both with a more than decent contribution from him, it should be his shirt to lose. It seems to me some people don't want to give Dummett a chance because they've got such hope/expectations of Haidara. I've seen nowt much from Haidara so far really, if anything I am more comfortable with Dummett in the team from what I've seen so far. I am not saying one is better than the other either, you can't drop Dummett for Haidara now though.

    Paul Dummett

He strikes me as someone who just lacks a little bit of self belief on the ball in open play. I think with more game time and confidence there could be a player there.
  21. These quotes are fucking sickening.
  22. The reason we need debt within the structure is so Ashley can have his free advertising all around SJP until he fucks off and we don't get paid a penny out of lost income for that.
  23. The fact that he's getting that advertising free for space as a justification for the 'interest free' debt we owe him means he will not seek to get the money back until he sells the club. He's milking money out of the club through lost advertising yet not reducing the debt. I mean I wouldn't mind as much, but don't call it interest free you fucking obese pig.
