  1. I cant' stop looking at the time now, heading to town in next hour and a half. Tried to watch last nights MOTD and couldn't do it.

    Alan Pardew

I'm pretty much convinced he's gone if we lose tomorrow like, never felt so convinced since he's been here.
  3. I was considering it but didn't want to take seriously weaken my team elsewhere. I've took the injured Coutinho and Benteke out and replaced them with Eriksen and Giroud.
  4. What a great night, so many different emotions, feel very weird after that, emotional even after seeing so many of my heroes return to the pitch they graced so well, compared to the shite we're getting put through at the minute. I'll not repeat what everyones said other than Dabizas looked like he could still play today, he was outstanding. Seeing Nobby down that right side again man, I fucking miss that so much.
  5. Totally different case, Owen's injury in 2006 was the beginning of the end for him, he was never a top player after that, he did have a good few months under Keegan but theres nothing to suggest he would have sustained that form when you consider the level of his performances from late 2008 onwards. Injury fucked Owen, Ben Arfa's injuries haven't took anything away from him. This wasn't the major point here though, the point was that Ben Arfa would have been far more effective in Sir Bobby's team with such great players around him. Can you imagine Robert in this team firing crosses in for Cisse and Ameobi?
  6. Disagree if i'm honest, Robert has won more games for this football club than HBA ever will. Talent is irrelevant unless its combined with consistent performances. If you put Ben Arfa in that 01/02 team with that quality of players around him I'm sure you would see a far more effective player (injuries aside). Put Robert in todays team and he'd be nowhere near as effective as he was.
  7. Rob Lee is easily the best midfielder we've had in my lifetime, my 2nd favourite player after Shearer (well joint with Beardsley 2nd). Great player. I have to bite my tongue when I see people name their best Newcastle' team of the lifetime and they don't include him. I loved Gary Speed as a player and a man but I never understand people who think he was a better player than Lee. No chance.
  8. Just read it, brilliant.
  9. I really like Gouffran as a squad player.
  10. If Anita was going to be dropped I don't think he would have sat out of the game yesterday.
  11. I'm convinced Shola will start alongside Cisse for his height. Pardew worrying about the opposition again. Think he will lose any last bit of patience if he starts Sammy and Shola and we get beat
  12. I've went for Norwich, Southampton, Stoke, Blackburn, Reading and Leicester. £320 from a fiver. I never usually pick more than 5 teams these days but fuck it, I'll lose anyway.

  14. I wish Ameobi had Shearers head, brain and feet
  15. I think Jonas is probably the best winger in the league after Jarvis
  16. Won £205 on a fiver accumulator. Blackpool, QPR, Reading, Watford and Wigan DRINK

    Loïc Remy

Saggy reckons he's got a calf strain, probably just a cover up like.
  18. Blackpool, QPR, Reading, Watford, Wigan - Fiver returns £205 Great offer from Sky Bet this season, put a fiver accumulator on every weekend and get a free fiver bet on the following Monday. You have to keep up with it every weekend to get the free fiver bet though. Was available last season but only to new customers, anyone can do it now.
  19. That'll see Bents departure and probable arrival here speeded up now I'd reckon.
  20. Bent would be even less suited than Cisse at playing the number 10 role, absolutely no chance in gods earth.
  21. I don't agree with this at all. We're pretty much equally attractive unless a player is really interested who the DOF is. We got some quality players in recently and JFK is the only real question mark over whether we'll continue to do so. We as fans see nothing but negativity right now, and from what I have read/heard so far from outsiders, they see exactly the same. Jamie Carragher has tipped us to be right in the thick of it today because of the mess. I met football fans at Glastonbury and they were laughing their heads off about JFK asking what the fucks going on. We're not an attractive option to a player when the likes of Everton come in right now. Everyone is rightly laughing at us about JFK, that's fair enough. I just don't think players will be as bothered, especially considering the other very positive aspects of the club (teammates, ground, fans etc). Surprised to here Carragher tip us for a relegation battle, would have thought a neutral would put down last season as exceptionally bad. Aye, his reason is because of the mess with the JFK situation, not the ability of our players. I feel the same right now, only some new players can lift the place.

  23. Doesn't matter how late we were, if you aren't a Newcastle fan then only an idiot would turn down Everton for this club right now.
