  2. Jim White ‏@JimWhite 52s Hearing that #Chelsea left-back Patrick van Aanholt close to joining #Sunderland tonight. Clubs trying to agree fee.
  3. Why is it a shame? Pisshead footballer who shit on his hometown club at the first opportunity possible. Beggars belief how people still fawn over Carroll. The club wanted him out just as much as he wanted to make the move, probably more. I am not bitter or angry about it, I just liked him as a player and don't have any bad feelings about him.
  4. Rumours going around he could be out for 4 months with an ankle problem. Such a shame the way his career is going. I have heard on more than one occasion that his ankle is fucked over the last year like.
  5. It seems strange to me that Aarons started when you look at the rest of the team, it was quite a strong lineup from what was available. I didn't see the match, so I'm hoping from what you lot a saying, that Aarons is good and is really pushing himself towards the first team squad.
  6. I think Colback will start 99% of the time. He works very hard up and down the pitch from what I've seen of him, I think Pardew will absolutely love him. That, and the fact he's left football as well. Not that I agree with it, I like Anita.
  7. Spot on. I am really happy with the past few weeks just because of the surprise that we've actually went and bought some players for a change, I'm not grateful at all to him for it though. He still hasn't spent anything yet as far as I'm concerned. It's just a relief we've signed some players, things were really looking like that might be a struggle a few short weeks ago.

    Sunderland

That is amazing that like. Really amazing gesture.
  9. That is true like. Surely wouldn't dare make up such allegations without some certainty again? Who knows.
  10. Sorry to post this from The Sun but look man
  11. As much as I'd love him to make Pardew look like a cunt, I don't think I could take the frustration of watching him tear the league up at another PL club
  12. Really can't see this one happening now with us spending the 'Cabaye money' on Cabella and De Jong. I just don't see Ashley sanctioning the signing of another midfielder, especially after signing Colback as well which would move him and Anita a place back in the pecking order. Hope I'm wrong though.

    Ryan Taylor

Shouldn't be near the team, but the past season or two when he was fit he actually done a decent job stepping in. He will probably struggle to make the bench this season if everyone stays fit with these new signing, he's certainly not a bad player to have outside of your main 18.
  14. Keep on saying this but the service he has received over the last couple of seasons has been abysmal. This is true, but Remy and Demba Ba managed to score goals throughout a lot of these periods where the Cisse wasn't firing. I did stick up for Cisse a lot at first and I was saying what you were saying, but he has missed a bucketload of easy chances. It's not simply down to poor service, when we signed him he was scoring with ridiculous finishes, he's not even finishing off chances that you would expect a lower league striker to finish most of the time now.
  15. That's the only reason he still has everyone's patience. If we had signed him in summer 2012 and had only witnessed his performances from the last two seasons he wouldn't have any sympathy whatsoever. We would all love that Cisse back, but 2 years is a long time to be in such poor/average form. We can't go into the season with him as first choice, clutching at straws hoping the 11/12 Cisse returns.
  16. I really hope we don't go into the season with Cisse our main striker like, I haven't got the patience with him anymore.
  17. I would like to see us in for Caulker. He will probably be expensive but he's only 22. I think he'd turn out to be a great signing.
  18. Anal Oliver's sources tell him Emerton will indeed be a Newcastle player by next summer
  19. We will replace him if there's someone available at a good price who has the potential to be sold for a tidy profit in the future. That's the rule under Ashley. It's not that he won't spend money, he will spend it if he is as sure as he can be that a signing will make him money in the future.
  20. If I thought the fee we get would have any influence on more incoming then I would be bothered. It won't though. It's all about finding players who will bring a profit in later. If Ashley could replace Debuchy with a right back who cost £15m and he was 100% certain there would be a profit on him in 2 years he would do it. The fee we get for any player means fuck all under him, its all about potential to sell. Its disgusting.
  21. Even if it's £8m we made a profit and he's 29 soon, fat Mike wins again.
