Could and would have been higher if it wasn't for a certain fat idiot.
  5. He's a big miss. When I think about what kind of player we could do with in our defence now he springs straight to mind. A defence of Beye, Faye, Bassong and Enrique would be rock solid. Still be exposed by the fucking awful midfield mind.
  6. Oh howay man lets fuck Hull and not rely on their result. We win, we will stay up. If we won then the mackems would need a win to finish higher than us.
  7. I blame Souness for wripping every bit of potential and spirit and talent away from a good Premiership squad when he took over. Well he was the start of this mess. The board appointed him though so they take the blame. Souness done a fucking pig awful job here but he was only doing it to the best of his ability and beliefs. He should have never been appointed. Souness and Fat Fred are not to blame for us being on the brink of relegation now though. Theres only one man and thats Mike Ashley. Whether he has made decisions himself, or he has been badly advised, he is the man who bought this club thinking he could run it and he is the man who brought his people in to advise him. They have made a right cock up which as left us where we are now. Its took until Joe Fucking Kinnear got the job for him to back his manager properly. He didn't have the faith in Allardyce and therefore didn't back him in the way Fat Sam wanted in the summer of 2007 (not to start a debate on Allardyce). He's then brought Keegan in and obviously filled him with false promises. We all know the rest. Dennis Wise to run your football club. Why? Seriously, why? Like, surely not? I still hoping this is one fucking nightmare. But Dennis Wise? No. Didn't happen
  8. Surely they will have. The media don't know the full details of player contracts. I'm sure Nolan will be on over £30,000 a week and Taylor will probably be getting around that sort of money so no way would we have signed them without a wage drop clause when we knew we were in a relegation fight.
  9. I'd love to know how many players (if any) have a clause in their contract reducing their wages if we go down. I would imagine anyone who has signed a new contract this season has. So that would be Harper, R.Taylor, Butt, Nolan, Ameobi, Carroll. Anyone else?
  10. We cant break though. That tactic depends on us being able to defend. Its not even about that really, its about having a midfield that can keep hold of the ball playing patiently, and picking out a killer pass when they see an opening. We don't have that, so we either have to play 10 men behind the ball and defend, or we have to play everything up to Viduka and hope that he can do some magic or create an opening for Martins.
  11. Aye. I'd rather get fucking battered than some last minute heart break. I don't think i can even bring myselof to pick a starting line up I want for this match, the midfields fucking useless. We have to attack though, we will definitely get beat if we try to keep it tight.
  12. Some fucking bloke a few rows down from me has got "STAYINUP 09" on the back of the new top. I blame him.
  13. Ashley looks like he's gonna get exactly what he deserves for his terrible running and misjudgement of trust since buying the club.
  14. There is no way there should be one. The players have been a disgrace this season. Shearer should come out onto the pitch after the match and take his applause if we win and Hull get beat today. Thats it.
  15. I wish nothing but pain on both Leeds and Millwall
  16. I've read that Sturridge wants huge money. Could be bollocks like.
  17. Agreed. Mainly cos he's s*** though. Honestly... it's the likes of him and Downing - their allegedly quality players - for why they're down there. Boro's main problem this season has been scoring goals and whilst they've hardly got the deadliest of strikeforces, they've got some reasonable strikers there. Downing has done nowt this season and Tuncay is as wasteful as it gets. As i've said before, i haven't watched masses of them this season, but i've genuinely not seen Tuncay have a good game. He's got touches of quality and whatnot but we can't be relying on 1-good-game-in-10 players. We've got enough of them already. They'd cost a bomb n'all. Highly doubt we'll go for them regardless. Digard's the only player i would even go near to approaching at Boro. Maybe Wheater. Digard for £2m bargain. As for tuncay I think its harsh to critique him. Boro really have a lack of creativity and as Craig Burley says. "Yee cud play Torhes up there but if you've not got the creahativetee then its pointless." Isn't it Tuncay's job to be more of a creative player than a goal machine?
  18. I can't see much point in going for Wheater like. He will cost quite a bit and while he has potential he is not the quality cool headed defender we need to partner Bassong. I'd rather just have Taylor as backup right back and centre back and look for the finished article to put in the team. We could actually do with 2 centre backs really if we are to ship out Colloccini, Cacapa and Edgar but if we're gonna pay a decent fee for a defender to go into the team then we're probably gonna be looking at cheap option as backup.
  19. Think Hangeland, Pennant and Bent have already been mentioned. Would anyone take Matt Derbyshire for a decent fee? He would he a good squad player imo. He's a good finisher and he's a good age. Definitely would be a decent signing as a sub striker, taking into account that we really could do with 2 new strikers and we've got so many areas to cover for improvement. D.Bent, Martins, Viduka (pay as you play only or let him go), Derbyshire, Carroll, Lovenkrands We could do worse.

If we are safe on the last day of the season (big IF) and he's fit we should start him imo. If theres nothing to lose then why not. We've seen enough of most of the wasters at our club and we know who isnt up to it from the regulars. Start him with Viduka and i'm sure he'll get a chance or two.
  21. From there point of view why would they risk any player they feel will play a part of the Champions League final. Unless something is said to them by the league then I can see a massively weakened team. I don't think they would even risk most of the players who won't be stating in the the final if they can get away with it. Certainly not the likes of Anderson, Nani or Tevez. The biggest names on their teamsheet will be Foster, O'Shea and Fletcher imo. Possibly Neville and Fabio. The rest will be made up with the likes of Gibson, Welbeck, Macheda and a few debuts imo.
  22. If we can get the 3 points then that will mean we are unbeaten in 3 home matches, something we haven't done since last year. If we can become a solid team at home next season then we will have half a chance of some stability.
  23. If we had "loads of money" then we would be talking about replacing every player in the team except Beye and Bassong if we were going to be perfect. Never gonna happen. Even with a good budget we aren't going to be a great team. Its going to take time.
  24. there's never been a team in the history of football was relegated because of the keeper harper might not be given but lets not get carried away here, behind a coherent defence harper will be fine for the time being we have much, much bigger priorities man Agreed. Harper would be more than fine in a good solid team. Thats what we have to aim for next season if we stay up.
