Just looking at the fixtures theres some good looking matches this weekend as far as potential results for us could go. I wouldn't want it postponed. Three points for us on Saturday and a very good chance of defeat for the likes of Boro, Blackburn, Hull, Bolton, Spurs and Stoke or Sunderland, plus us of course stopping West Brom getting any points would be massive. I would go: ---------------------------Harper--------------------------- R.Taylor------S.Taylor----------------Bassong-----Enrique Duff----------Nolan--------------------Butt----------Lovenkrands ---------------Ameobi----------Martins------------------ If Carroll is fit i would start him over Ameobi. I would be wary about starting Viduka cos he is vital to us for the rest of the season if we can get games out of him, so i would look to give him a decent 20 minute run out. I think that team is strong enough to get a win down there. Its not anywhere near our best team but just seeing a couple of fresh faces and having Martins back gives me a bit of confidence for this match. Its not a good enough team to beat many teams like.

I have to say like i reckon there is a chance we might get another centre midfielder in if a player becomes available. We might have Nolan, Barton, Guthrie and Butt in our squad, but i wouldn't rule out Ashley agreeing to sign another midfielder on the basis that Barton leaves in the summer.

With the midfielders we are being linked with, I don't think they would have started on Sunday even if they had signed in time for the match. I don't think JFK would have the bottle to put in a foreigner in the middle of the park from the start in our biggest match of the season.

He's a fucking disgrace. Lets be honest, he hasn't put in a good run of games since the vesy start of last season. His attitude stinks and he doesn't offer much to us because of that. Shame because he could be a very good player, but with that sort of attitude we don't need him. Fuck off you horrible little bastard. I won't lose any sleep over him. Lets be honest, as far as consistent performers and contribution when they do play go we miss Beye, Barton, Guthrie, Owen, Viduka and Martins so much more.

If we manage to get him he would be a really good signing imo. I see that Bolton fans are saying negative things about him, but maybe a move would do him good. He's been at Bolton for years now. I tell you what, if we could have Guthrie and Nolan together fit until the end of May then i would be a lot more confident than i have been over the last 20 hours. I have been fearing the worst after last night. This gives me a bit more hope IF it goes through. I'd even put up with Nicky Butt in midfield for another couple of weeks until Guthrie is back, as long as we bloody get him.

That first half performance reminded me of a Souness team at its very worst. I didn't think that was possible.

I would be more than happy if we ended this transfer window with this new right back, M'Bia, Johnson and Lovenkrands. They are all gambles but we need players quickly and they are all at good ages apart from the latter. Nothing goes smoothly here though so i won't take anything for granted just yet.

According to The Sun, Lucas Neill is available for free because West Ham want him off the wage bill ASAP. We need a right back like but he would want a huge wage and he'd only be backup once Beye is back. Probably better of looking for a younger option unless we could get him on a short term deal which is highly unlikely.

Did anyone see them young mackems on the Metro from Haymarket to Central straight after the match? There was a few of them and they must have been about 16 or 17 singing Sunderland songs and shouting crap. Bet the bastards had never been to a match in their life. They looked like a bunch of ugly little tramps drinking Carlsberg. It was quite funny though because from Haymarket to Monument they got away with it because there wasnt many Newcastle fans on the metro at that point with it being the S.Hylton Metro, but when it got to Monument it filled up and they got told. The mouthy one out of them all shit himself when he got told to sorted out and they got told to fuck off the Metro by some of our fans.When they got of the Metro and the doors closed they started banging on the windows shouting "geordie bastards" and crap to that effect. Absolute tossers. If they got on the next Metro after that and done the same i would imagine they would have got a good kicking.

Like i said above. Any chance i could get my ticket tommorow if i went in with the correct documents? It says in the announcement on the official website that you should go before Saturday to collect a paper ticket if you're worried about your ST not arriving on time. I would imagine all you would need really is your ST number, but just to be on the safe side take last seasons, plus any letters with regards to this seasons ST if you have any, and maybe a form of ID. You probably won't need all that though. Oh aye, and ask them for your fucking travel money for the inconvenience.
