  1. It's spelt 'premadonna', you muppet. You fucked up that edit good style Aye, I think I pressed 'insert' by accident. Curse these fat fingers of mine.
  2. The sad thing for Newcastle was that SA never accepted the job when it was offered to him before. The years of Souness and Roeder have put the club back years. Quite true. However, we dug our own graves by sacking both SBR and Souness while the season was well underway which complicated things.
  3. HTT, man, ffs. Any chance you could summarise that opening essay? I haven't got all night. Well, I do, but I wanted to play some games an aal.
  4. My mate's a mackem supporter and he's giving it all, 'Well, we'll see what we can do with the 20/30 million quid we're going to get in summer'. Even if that's true: 1. Who in their right minds is going to go to Sunderland? 2. Most of their big signings have actually been shit. 3. And, lastly, you can bet it's a big money bighead who'll be the first to fall out with Roy Keane and get a snapped leg in training.
  5. seen as I'm worried about us being able to afford a full restructure the comment from SA about a clean slate suits me better, would like to see him kick some arse and maybe be shown a little more respect, the players were all down following the uefa cup exit and following that alot of them started to play up, which I recon isn't on but at the heart of it we are hoping those who stay will become performers rather than hangers on. If were Sam, I'd get Nicky Butt, Given, etc. together and find out what the score is. Tell them, if necessary that everyone's going to get a fair chance, but also let them know that anyone found carrying on is out the door. That way, you don't alienate these players who've risked their necks coming out and criticising their colleagues, but you also give everyone a fair crack of the whip.
  6. For the first time since SBR, I think the fans are positive and that'll be a huge boost for Sam and the players, imo. When Souness came, it was obvious none of the fans wanted him (6th choice candidate and all that), and people were equally wary about Roeder. I have high hopes, tempered by the knowledge that we're still talking about Newcastle United here.
  7. Sam came across really well there. That doesn't mean much in itself, but I don't think you can ask for a better start. Regarding the players interviews: I think the dressing room must've been absoutely awful. I can't remember a time when this number of senior and respected players has come out and basically said that a number of their team-mates must be shown the door for the sake of the club.
  8. I think it's the same microphone, it just looks massive because Sammy's a midget.

    Todays Gossip

    Premadonnas, the lot of them.
  10. I amazed anyone is in support of West Ham. It's like fielding a cup-tied player in the FA Cup final, winning, and then going, "Well, tough shit, you weren't good enough to beat us on the pitch."
  11. She was fucking rubbish yesterday. Like when they get in some 11 year-old competition winner.
  12. Everyone say sorry to the gimp.
  13. I must admit I wasn't convined with Berbatov early in the season when he struggled in certain matches, but I have to agree he's been a top signing for Spurs. McCarthy is basically Blackburn's Martins: looks shit half the time but scores goals.
  14. When people were saying Martins has been a passenger in a few matches this season, they were right, but this knob-end has actually been a negative influence at times this season he's been that shit and half-arsed.

    Owen or Martins?

really?? Although I've never seen AS9 play, I suspect he's telling the truth. In some matches, Martins was almost embarassingly bad. Worse than that fella who said he was George Weah's cousin.
  16. Heard Freddie bought him a concubine to keep him sweet.
  17. Of course he's not Shearer You know what I mean. He has no reasons to stay loyal to Newcastle other than guilt and I'm sure he feels he's earned the right, after so much time out, to play with proper footballers again.
  18. I'm not sure he cares about image now. After seeing Liverpool go to 2 CL finals, and thinking about how many years he might have at the top of his game (not many), I'm sure he just wants to go somewhere and win things. He's not Shearer.

    Owen or Martins?

I wasn't knocking his PL total, tbh. Just pointing out that this 17 goal return should be viewed as 11 good goals and 6 against a load of plumbers and exhaust fitters.
  20. Look at Milner: he was halfway to feckin Birmingham before we changed our minds and brought him back. But he still played every match with passion and worked his socks off. The thing is, if N'Zogbia had actually tried his arse, he probably would've been played more as Duff's been shite, but the Zog's performances this season would even have Kieron Dyer cringing.

    Owen or Martins?

Can I just say that Martins only scored 11 Premier League goals his other 6 goals came against frankly appalling European opposition. I know it's still not a bad return, but it's the same number as the likes of Bobby Zamora, Kevin Doyle, etc.
