Think its more about his game time for us if Botman/Thiaw come in and take minutes. We arent booming for competition for english CBs though right now. As others mentioned his versatility is a bonus. Not sure I want to see Burn at LB though for England. LCB in a three is useful though.

Does he make the WC. I think probably not but it would be an epic story to his already crazy career.
  3. We are all about nostalgia, remakes, and throwbacks in pop culture these arent we. Its all about being transported and reminded of England in the early to mid 90s right now.
  4. Think the running joke from Liverpool supporters (at least) I know is that we signed..
  5. Was going to say the same. I was chatting with a coach about this a few months ago. He was saying when girls start their cycle in early teens etc. this is a crucial time to be cognizant about strengthening the muscles and working specifically on strengthening with care. Also have to combine that with the body growing too. I'd never heard it before but thought it was super interesting. He had seen a ton of girls do ACLs due to this in his opinion.
  6. Absolutely buzzed for Wissa and Woltemade! The minute Isak was gone was the minute I stopped caring. Not worth the negative energy. Infact the best thing we could do when he returns is just stay silent and ignore him. Boos would only motivate him and his teammates and likely make ours risk cards going in hard to impress lol.
  7. Bit gutted we have to wait for our next game but should give some of the new boys time to settle in. Please dont get injured international players!! Genuinely excited with everyone we have brought in other than Ramsdale. Its just hard to get excited about a goalkeeper in the same way. Think people are sleeping on Thiaw. He will be great imo. Ramsey already looks great and I am very excited for what he can bring. Wissa should be a great fit and if Woltemade hits the ground running they will be an excited couple of strikers. Elanga will come good too imo.
  8. Elliot for 30m is a great deal They wanted 50m a month ago. Lets see if Emery can get Sancho back on track. Having to pay 200m a week is nuts.
  9. Maybe it was an ironic "thank fuck you have gone" like?
  10. Yep. As we have every next week the past 4/5 months lol.

    Yoane Wissa

Aye. Next conveyor belt rung is: Lascelles, Krafth, Willock, Barnes and Murphy. Thats an incredible level in that list that shows how much the squad has changed and improved since Howe.

    Marc Guehi

Doesn't seem on point for their character?

    Yoane Wissa

Thank fuck its done. Have been excited about the prospect of Wissa playing for us since he was linked. 100% a Howe type of player. Very hopeful he will fit into our team really well.

If this didn't go through in time....
  15. Pure opportunity for motivation. If he wants to stay at the club he is going to have to level up from now until January. Its a win win for us for now imo. A similar deal in January will be on the table.
  16. On the upside. He is in demand. Provide we give everyone the illusion of him still having promise we can shift him for the same in January, more if he knocks a couple in from sub appearances. Not writing him off yet, despite probably doing so on Saturday!
  17. Quite happy to keep him for depth.. but not getting that potential fee that we could invest in January would be a bit of a downer. That's a solid deal with a buyback clause.

    Marc Guehi

They will surely just extend the window long enough for palace to find a replacement or just close it and tell Palace Guehi has to go to Liverpool. Respectfully, obviously.
  19. Its bare minimum in the sense this is what was needed to try and keep up. All the sides above us last season have leveled up heavily. So have other clubs around us. What I would say of pretty much all the players we have brought in is: - None of them are coming as out of favour at previous clubs, infact most clubs didnt want to sell - None are journeyman bouncing around. - All come with confidence from last season (maybe Ramsey aside) - We have been largely tactical and other than Wissa haven't overpaid ridiculously. There is no window that "slams shut" that we don't think, "could have done with a couple more". Another Mid and versatile young striker would have been perfect. LB and CB (with Lascelles out) if we are being really greedy. Far from a disaster in the end given everything thats gone on. Will need 1 or 2 more in January though.
  20. Travis Hernes season-long loan move to Groningen with option to buy, according to @StefanBleeke Sanusi to Lorient in Ligue 1 on loan. Decent experience for the kids. Obviously Howe doesnt believe Hernes makes a big step, unless we have a buy back clause.
